Exciting Update from Tanzania
After reading the article Exciting News from Tanzania I was
amazed at the increase in the success of local farmers in Tanzania. A
select group of farmers surveyed said that before a new program was
in place to help them develop farming skills the group had only 296
chickens, leaving 4 chickens per household surveyed.
However after completing E.L.I.’s Farmer training program they have
over 4,000! I believe that is a huge increase. And since E.L.I. actually
gave the farmers the training to breed more chickens instead of doing
it for them the farmers will be able to pass the knowledge on and keep
independently breeding chickens.

you learned about what is being done to bring Hope to the African
people through E.L.I.
Reflective Paragraph
After seeing some of the great work that E.L.I. has been doing in
Eastern Africa it is inspirational to me. It makes me wonder what else I
can do to help the situation in Tanzania, or The Democratic Republic Of
The Congo. It makes me want to fly over to Africa and help do
something, I’m not sure what because I don’t possess any skills in
farming but I want to do something.
