Learned basics of professional correspondence and team working. Responsibilities: Telecom equipment preventive and corrective maintenance. Site reconfiguration, upgrade, and downgrade. ZTE Corporation, Khartoum Nov-2011 to Dec-2012 SOA-to-PAC Maintenance Team Leader Achievements:
Established ZTE 2011 and 2012 rollout project maintenance department, acquired requested documents and procedures from MTN maintenance department, and reflected them successfully to subcontractors. Defined ZTE SOA-to-PAC maintenance contractors service contract for MTN 2011 and 2012 rollout projects according to MTN SLA. Successfully dealt with all logistic and administrative emerging issues during the beginning of the project, as well as establishing a stable relation with contractors. Established and kept an organized data base of reports, site information, and email history. And successfully handed over my tasks and data when leaving the company. Got appraisal letter from ZTE-Sudan VGM for my performance.
Responsibilities: Established ZTE NMC support team, defined escalation procedures, and
provided training for them on ZTE GERAN equipment monitoring. Followed up daily alarm reports from subcontractors, interfaced spare parts and operation requests to and from ZTE management and MTN maintenance dept. Provided technical support for field engineers, and held weekly maintenance meeting with MTN Maintenance dept. Followed up and revised Bi-Weekly and Monthly preventive, fuel, and alarm reports with subcontractors, prepared monthly invoices according to the reports, and collected money for ZTE from MTN.
Held several sessions for NMC staff on ZTE RAN equipment and made presentations on its operation. Provide daily support on the NMS system for NMC staff and technical support for field engineers. Got appraisal letter from the Core-and-Access-Operations Senior Manager, as well from NMC manager for my performance.
Responsibilities: Monitor all MTN Network nodes. Analyze problems, performs troubleshooting. Perform 1st level of maintenance before escalating problems to the 2nd
lines. Escalate power failures, transmission links problems and faulty devices or hardware detected after troubleshooting/ diagnosing to the field support engineers (Radio, Transmission and others). Send regular reports and notifications on daily basis about the current status of the network and updates if a fault is detected. Responsible for giving permission for any works in the sites or the switch especially for works which have impact on the coverage. Download software for new sites and testing the telecommunication equipments in the site in non normal working hours. Change Management duties: - make sure that all planned interventions on the operational networks are carried out in a controlled timely manner with minimum service downtime. it includes Supporting the other parties, Sending notifications to concerned parties with clear and simple description about the activities, Checking the status after the completion of the operations and Informing whom it may concern when the operations end about the results. Devise and implement preventive maintenance techniques for example the routine external alarms check for the BSCs and switches. Perform Ad-Hoc duties as assigned by management.
Ensuring that the Zain network adheres to recognized Engineering practices as well as manufacturers and Zain's recommended procedures. Responsible for following-up outsourcing companies' activities (diagnosing and resolving faults and outages and adherence to the regular maintenance schedule). Provide direction, guidance, instruction and assistance to Zain NMC in the day-to-day operation as a second line support of network equipment in BSS. Carry out all site related BSS activities to ensure consistent corporate network infrastructure deployment, to support the needs of the business. Liaise with supplier and vendors on BTS/site commissioning plans to support the agreed network expansion tasks. Work as part of a team to deliver the operational service support level targets. Monitor and measure outsourcing companies' performance, to ensure optimum network stability and availability. Follow-up and record regular and ad-hoc system/equipment and fault rectification maintenance and system/network outage periodic inspections carried out by outsourcing companies. Manage processes, procedures, activities and systems for accurate recording and reporting of support maintenance, outages and downtimes. Liaise closely with internal customers to ensure that planned outages to networks and IT systems minimize the risk of de-stabilization to the business. Ensure benchmark targets for network roll-out, capacity management, scalability, maintenance and support are achieved and exceeded. Manage relationships and agreements with contractors, suppliers and partners. Be aware and capable of executing contingency plans in the event that they are required to mitigate risks/issues as the Zain network expands and the business grows. Ensure quality, accuracy and effectiveness of BSS and Fault detection/rectification reporting and site equipment. Support KPI monitoring, identify issues, analyze and troubleshoot and escalate, as needed, for resolution.
