acces is. I chose my design to be a simple one in order to reduce costs of building and ti me to construct. Therefore the shape of the bothy itself is cubical only the top floor and protection case being of an unusual round curvy but still simple form . 2. The next task was to establish a vivid relationship between the surroundings and the bothy itself trying to blend in the construction with the natural feelin g of the place In terms of design the idea behind the White Sheep Bothy consists of trying to r epresent a clear image ; That of a sheep standing on a hill. The body around the building itself has been designed to mimic te outline off a hill , with a small uprise at the entrance followed by a small flat surface at t he top folowed by a downhill. The piece thats standing out represents the sheep itself. 3.Wanting a cost reduce and less time cosuming to build construnction demans usi ng materials that can be found in the nearby land , so i chose wood as the predo minant material of the bothy. Wood is the building material of choice for the 21st century. It is natural, car bon-neutral (which means it is eco-friendly) and sustainable because most timber used in construction is from managed and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), or s imilar in other countries, accredited sources. Additionally, only quick-growing trees - such as oak and Douglas fir - are cut d own, leaving hardwood trees, which take longer to grow, to prosper. The effect i s less damaging to the environment.. When it comes to environmental considerations, timber is the most eco-friendly b uilding material in use today. 4. Having a small variety of predominant colour pallets wich mainly cosists of g reens greys yellows and browns made finding the construction a unique look just by the colour hard . Sheeps are the only white dots that stand out among the greys greens yellow and brown predominant in marsden so i chose the colour o f the standing out part to be white as seen in the model. 5. The interior constist of a siple arangement of a bench that can be exteded in to a bed having two beautifull view as one of the windows lines up with the tera ce opening and the other one lines up with an exterior window both of them creating a relaxing natural feeling to the persons inside it or th at also walk on the terrace. Also a small kitches table with an incorporated sto ve , a restroom and a bedroom upstair capable of houseing 5 to 6 persons equal to a normal family.
