Welcome to Jukani
Where big cats are at home
ukani Wildlife Sanctuary is home to rescued apex predators including all of the big cats such as jaguars, lions, tigers and leopards. Each species is housed in large natural enclosures in an area covering 17 hectares of indigenous forest and grassland. A visit to Jukani is a unique experience with the primary focus being on education and conservation, where the animals needs are put rst and foremost. The white lions and tigers, like most of the other animals, have been rescued from human exploitation. They do not breed and will never be used for hunting in any form, here they will live out the rest of their lives in comfort and safety. Along with the big cats, Jukani is also home to cheetah, cougar, caracal, serval, hyena, jackal, African painted dog, honey badger, zorilla and raccoon. In the adjoining grasslands, zebra and springbok graze. Tours led by our experienced and knowledgeable rangers last approximately
one hour. Jukani also boasts a large vivarium where snakes from around the world can be viewed.
Monkeyland, Birds of Eden and Jukani are open 8.00am - 5.00pm 7 days a week 365 days a year. All three sanctuaries are wheelchair and stroller friendly and each has a curio store and cafe.
