BETH OLAM CEMETERY VISITATION SUNDAY, APRIL 27 - 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The community is welcome to visit Beth Olam Cemetery (Smith Street Cemetery on the site of General motors Poletown plant). The cemetery was established in 1862 and remains one of the oldest historical sites in our local Jewish community. Entrance is through the truck gate, and Plant security will assist visitors in locating the cemetery site. HAVE YOU PRAYED TODAY? Coming to daily morning and/or evening services may fit perfectly into your day. Your attendance IS important, even if you are only able to attend periodically. Fellow congregants who are reciting kaddish for a recently deceased loved one, or a yearly yahrzeit, rely on CSZ for their communal support. Going to minyan every day allows me to say kaddish for my mom, a promise I made to her. But because I go, it allows others to honor their loved ones as well. Phillip Arnold Please join us. TRAVEL SIZE TOILETRIES NEEDED Heart 2 Hart Detroit provides and distributes food, clothing, toiletries and helpful information to men and women living on the streets or in shelters in the Detroit Metropolitan area. Donations of travel size personal items are in demand, and will be accepted at collection bins in the Synagogues main lobby and in the lobby of the administrative offices.
