There were many ethnic groups within India who practiced different religious beliefs. Sir Muhammad Iqbal then decided there should be a new state in India for the Indian Muslims. This idea brought many people together re olting to gain independence from !ritain. In "#$% the !ritish finally surrendered to the relentless Muslims and Pa&istan was formed in the northwest and east regions' (ast and )est Pa&istan.
