Boots on Ground Consulting, Inc., an organization dedicated to training social workers to serve current and former service members and their families, identified a need for these professionals to gain a working knowledge of military life to effectively relate to this population. o meet this demand, Boots on Ground Consulting, Inc., created a series of ten training modules for social workers. he first module, Introduction to !ilitary "ife, re#uires students to demonstrate their knowledge of the five branches of the military, their rank structures, and the uni#ue issues facing current and former service member and their families.
