&n The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly, all the di%%erent animals had uni,ue personalities Sprout was a hope%ul hen who wanted to be able to hat"h an egg Straggler was a %riendly, wild du"k who helped Sprout out a lot The rooster o% the %arm was mean to Sprout, and so was his hen *reentop was a du"k, that Sprout had hat"hed, and *reentop lo$ed Sprout a lot The dog who guarded the %arm was grumpy and old, who also disliked Sprout The leader o% the %arm du"ks wanted Sprout to gi$e *reentop up to them The weasel was sneaky, and wanted to kill Sprout, *reentop, and other animals in the area !ll the di%%erent animals in this book had di%%erent personalities Few were ni"e to Sprout and *reentop, and Straggler was one o% the ni"e ones ! lot o% the animals were mean to Sprout and *reentop, like the rooster and his hen -a"h animal was di%%erent, and that#s one reason The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly is an ama+ing book

Se"ond o% all, Sprout stayed strong when she was beginning to get weak &n the beginning o% the story, she "ould barely walk Somehow, by getting out o% the "oop she was stu"k in, and eating healthy $egetables, Sprout got stronger She got her weight ba"k and be"ame healthier .r when Sprout had to mo$e to a di%%erent sleeping spot with *reentop e$ery night, she got weak When she "ould settle down %or a "ouple days in one spot, she "ould gain her strength ba"k ! lot o% times during The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly, Sprout be"ame unsteady, but soon she be"ame tough again When *reentop was older, he "aught %ish %rom the reser$oir and brought them to Sprout He helped Sprout be"ome healthy again Sprout would be"ome stronger when she was weak, and that#s another example o% why & lo$e this book

'ast but not least, Sprout and *reentop#s relationship really made The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly spe"ta"ular When *reentop %irst hat"hed he would %ollow Sprout, and she would prote"t *reentop %rom the weasel *reentop %ollowed Sprout %or awhile, but as he got older, he didn#t %ollow her around that mu"h He would help her in hard times when she was weak Sprout still prote"ted *reentop %rom the weasel, e$en when he was older *reentop began to be apart o% the %lo"k o% du"ks that %lew to the reser$oir %or the season, and still spent some time with Sprout -$en though they weren#t by ea"h other e$ery se"ond, Sprout and *reentop shared a spe"ial lo$e That#s the third and last reason & en)oyed this book

!ll the animal#s di%%erent personalities, Sprout be"oming strong when she was weak, and Sprout and *reentop#s lo$e made The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly an in"redible story Some animals were ni"e, like Straggler, or others, like the rooster, were mean Sprout would be weak and somehow be"ome strong again !nd Sprout and *reentop#s relationship really made the book stand out & lo$ed reading The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly Sprout got to hat"h an egg, like she had wanted to She lo$ed *reentop so mu"h &#m so glad & got to read this book !nd who knows, maybe someday &#ll write a book like this/
