Demonstrate the use of supraglottic airway devices (SADs) for rescue ventilation. Demonstrate the use of the LMA-Fastrach in difficult airway management. Demonstrate proper use of videolaryngoscopy. Demonstrate how to perform bougie-assisted intubation. Demonstrate special techniques to overcome difficult laryngoscopy. Discuss proper use of airway drugs. List effective options for management of the traumatized airway. Discuss methods of aspiration prophylaxis. Demonstrate how to overcome an unanticipated difficult airway. Discuss airway management implications in morbidly obese patients. Discuss airway management implications in obstetrical patients. Discuss AHA-approved methods to confirm tracheal intubation and monitor lung ventilation.
