THE BIRTH O! The newl formed -ssociation, housed in a cubicle ad2acent to "!3 th -ir 4ateriel *ing Finance +ffice operated li$e an e,panded !palu"a#an$ and mutual %un& relie% system. 5ts main goal was to help its members cope with the rising costs of li#ing and at the same time combat the proliferation of loan shar$s in the communit . -t the onset, its membership was limited onl to the organic personnel of the "!0th Company &Y'. LICENSE TO OPERATE AS A NON-STOC( SAVIN)S AN* LOAN ASSOCIATION +PON ENACTMENT O! Company &Y' continued to pla its role as dependable partner and pro#ider of financial assistance in times of dire necessities of Philippine -ir Force families. The -ssociation addressed the financial necessities of its members such as school supplies, tuition fees, pa ment of medical bills, electricit , water, telephone and miscellaneous household bills> costs related to weddings, birthda s, celebrations of birthda s, anni#ersaries, e#en funeral e,pense. 5t also ensured that the fruits of its successful operations were shared to its members, in the form of di#idends, was granted to its depositors semi(annuall . 5n both forms of financial assistance, -4*7<-5 pro#ed its e,cellence. Company &Y' started automating its di#idend distribution s stem, an initial $ic$off to an o#erall campaign designed to impro#e customer ser#ice aimed at pro#iding comforts and con#enience to its massi#el growing members. 5n the succeeding ears, Company &Y' embar$ed on a wider scale of technological impro#ements focused on its main line of operations, loan processing, records and archi#es, collection and accounts management and all the other areas of operation were soon electronicall processed. +tart o% 01pansion "##, Aue to insistent demands, Company &Y' opened its membership and ser#ices to the different branches of ser#ice of the -rmed Forces and opened the first -4*7<-5 branch office outside 0illamor -ir 1ase in Pasa 'it ( the Company &Y' Bamboanga office located strategicall inside the Cdwin -ndrews -ir Force 1ase /C--1) in Bamboanga 'it , in 4indanao.

Auring this ear, the 1ang$o 7entral ng Pilipinas appro#ed and granted Company &Y' the authorit to operate simultaneousl eight new branch offices nationwide. These offices were located in 'amp -guinaldo, 'ebu, Aa#ao, <ipa, <egazpi, Puerto Princesa, Tarlac and Tacloban. -4*7<-5 then started to deli#er its much sought after financial ser#ices to bigger, much wider geographical mar$ets in camps and stations, -FP and P.P wide bringing assistance to where their personnel were located.

10. 7ponsoring college scholars to the graduation line through the Company &Y' 7cholarship Fund.
