GENERAL GUIDELINES 1. Married student hostel: We have married students hostel.

Students who want to book a room for their parents for a short stay may do so by checking the availability in the Admin department with Mr. Raman K S. If available, you need to pay the prescribed amount to accounts department and book the room. 2. Hostel: Please go through the Dos and Donts list as attached for your reference. 3. Pest Control: We have a tie-up with ISS Hicare for pest control. If you have any requirements related to that, please put it in the ticketing system and also tell Sodexo at the help desk. They will do the needful. 4. House Keeping: Sodexo housekeeping staff would come on a routine basis for the general cleaning of your rooms. Kindly make use of it, and once done sign in the HK cleaning schedule check list. 5. Smoking: Smoking and consumption of alcohol is prohibited inside the campus. 6. PMS schedule of a/c: We would be doing a scheduled preventive maintenance for the a/c in the hostel room. The communication for the same would be made in advance, kindly support us by handing over the key of your room to the authorized representative in the Administration office. 7. Hot water in rest room: Attached please refer the manual regarding hot water tap operation. 8. A/C Remote: Attached please refer the manual. The four mode of operation are as under: First one to your left hand side of the remote, the symbol indicates cool mode Second one dry mode, third one fan mode, Fourth one heat mode 9. Utility Shop: Day: Monday to Saturday. Time: 0900Hrs to 2030 Hrs. Day: Sunday Time: 0900Hrs to 1300Hrs. (Mr. Mani: 9791751850) 10. First-aid room: Medical representative is available on 24/7. Extn Number: 044-3080 9291 11. Vehicle to Chettinad Hospital: If anyone wants to visit Chettinad Hospital for treatment, first he has to take advice by consulting our Doctor from PRIMS University. Then send a mail to hostel warden Dr. M Muthuraj and Ms. M. Kiruba CC to Admin. 12. Laundry: Day: Monday to Saturday. Time: 0900Hrs to 1900 Hrs. (Sunday holiday) 13. Help Desk: It is manned by Sodexo. Please contact them for any maintenance related issue. You are advised to use the ticketing system for logging the complaints. While doing so do remember to mention the following details Room No, Contact No, your availability and nature of complaint. After completion sign in the complaint completions register and also close the ticket complaint. 14. Cable TV connection: Handled by Mr. Raman KS from Admin. 15. Canteen: Day: Monday to Sunday.

Time: Break Fast: 0730Hrs to 0930Hrs Lunch: 1200Hrs to 1430Hrs Dinner: 1930Hrs to 2130Hrs Note: Timing would change as per the Class. Do not carry the crockery outside the dining area. Please keep the used plate and glass in the wash area marked as Used plates. 16. Gym: Day: Monday to Sunday. Time: Morning: 0500Hrs to 1000Hrs Evening: 1600Hrs 2100Hrs Note: Please make your entry in the register while using the Gym and keep the movable items back in the same place from where you take. 17. Classroom: Eatables are not permitted inside the classroom. (Tea, Coffee, Soft drinks, Juice, Snacks etc.). Also do not enter the Classroom, Academic block or Office area wearing Shorts, half pant. 18. Classroom, Meeting room, Syndicate room booking: Whenever there is any requirement of Class room/ Meeting room/ Syndicate room for official meeting, kindly make a note of the following point. 1. Mail to be addressed to sathya.h@greatlakes.edu.in and CC to admin@greatlakes.edu.in. 2. Requisition to come at least one day in advance, so as to check availability and to avoid last minute rush. Unless it is urgent in nature. 3. Purpose of requisition. 4. Date, Time from and to. 5. Total strength expected/ would attend. 6. Contact details (Mobile number) of person giving the requisition. 7. If IT support is required then you have to contact them accordingly. 8. If the requisition is made after office hours, then the individual should followup with the concerned dept. NOTE: Do not mark the mail to gladminteam@greatlakes.edu.in. 19. Music Room: Syndicate room No.1 is being used as Music room. Drums, Guitar and other instruments are available. For details contact Mr. Margabandhu in Admin office. Without permission do not remove or take the Music instruments outside the room. 20. Student Canteen Cafeteria: This cafeteria is accessible 24/7. Contact No: 0443080 9077 21. Courier Service: You can send and receive the courier form the Admin office. When we receive the courier, it will be communicated to the addressee accordingly. Please bring your ID card while collecting your courier. Courier will be delivered on working hours only, as per the given timings: Day: Monday to Friday. Time: 1400Hrs to 1600 Hrs. You have to make the entry at the main gate every time you leave the campus and while you return. Main gate will remain open from 0600Hrs to 2200Hrs. 23. Vehicle permission: Those who wish to keep and use their personal vehicle inside the campus need to take permission from the Security by submitting the following supporting document to Admin Office. (Photo copy of RC book and driving license). Note: We have limited parking space, hence parking will be on first come first basis, and parking at owners risk. For assistance contact Main gate security at 044-3080 9215. 24. Lost and Found: Please take care of your personal belongings. Management would not be responsible for loss or damage of any of your personal belongings. But we do have a lost and found system, where once we come across such items we handover it to the concerned person. 25. PARTYING: Partying inside the campus for whatsoever reason without prior approval and intimation to Admin office of the approvals, is strictly prohibited.
