Title: Suggest ways to improve the Intensive Course conducted by the School of Distance Education (PPPJJ) USM.

The tremendous advance in education has changed my life in many aspects. One of these aspects was distance education at USM (University Science of Malaysia) as known as the School of Distances Education (PPPJJ USM). After a year into this program, Ive already undergone the intensive course last year. There were a few problems happened during the intensive course. But for me, it is such a good motivation and inspiration to be a proactive student. However as a student, the time management is very important and precious in their daily routine. Michelle Moore in Selling Simplified has said that the secret to your future is hidden in your daily routine. You have to be self-disciplined to spend your time wisely. Thus, during the intensive course, the main problems happened to the student was the study. The student needs to study a lot of course with so many chapters to be covered. From my observation, most of them always study in that period due to time constraints and focusing on their job before attending intensive course. Futhermore, the problem was derived from the student itself. The best way to solve these problems is the student need to manage their time and do a proper preparation before attend the intensive course and the guidance from the lecturer is impoprtant in obtaining a good result. The other problem is about the time table whereas the student need to attend the night class instead of doing revision for a test tomorrow. Some of them refused to go to the night class because they wanted to focus on their revision for the test. That means student craving to attend the class for looking for some guidance for a next test or they will miss it. The best

solution is time tables can be formulated and modified equally to all of student. It is also a good way if the class will be held before the test instead of after the test because the lecturer can give some advice to them before the test. The well preparation also is crucial before attending the intensive classes. Furthermore, the other problem that I had faced was about to form a group when doing the assignment. Some of the assignments required us to submit after the intensive course, it was challenging for me to find a group even though I had to study for the next test. So, the best way to improve is by using the portal and other social media such as Facebook and so on to get a group members. It will help us to keep in touch and always keep reminding each other to do assignment before the dateline. In conclusion, all of us must participate and cooperative with each other to derive a good quality of our life especially in education. Student is the main character to improve the Intensive Course at USM. Ashley Ormon once said in God in Your Morning - You can't make up for lost time. You can only do better in the future.
