If it is an EXE file, double-click the file you downloaded and specify a location into which the driver files will be extracted. Click "Unzip" and the files will extract. Click "OK" on the next window, then click "Close". b. If it is a ZIP file, you must unzip it using a utility such as WinZip* or PKZip*. Click "Start" then right click on "Computer" button and then choose Manage. 2. When the Computer Management window opens select the "device manager" icon. ( NOTE: IF UPDATING DRIVER GO TO STEP 3B) 3a. Double click "Video Controller (VGA Compatible)". (Go To STEP 4) 3b. Select "Display adapters" then Double click on the graphics controller shown . 4. Click on "driver" tab and select "Update Driver". 5. Select the following option when the Hardware Wizard asks to connect to Windo ws Update: "No, not this time". 6. Select the following option: "Install from a list or specific location (Advan ced)". 7. Select the Don t search, I will choose the driver to install option and then Next .

8. Click on the "Have Disk..." button and then the "Browse" button. 9. Enter the directory where you unzipped the file you downloaded, and then ente r the "Graphics" subdirectory. Locate and highlight the "igxp32.INF" file. Click on the "Open" button. 10. Click on the "OK" button. A window listing all of the available display type s should open. Select the display adapter that your system contains and then cli ck on the "Next" button. 11. Click on the "Next" button. The operating system will install the driver. Cl ick on the "Finish" button when done. 12. Click on the "Close" button and then click on the "Yes" button to reboot. Th e driver should now be loaded.

Intel(R) HD Audio HDMI Function Driver (IntcHmdi.sys) --------------------------------------------a. A Found New Hardware Wizard will popup for the HDMI Audio Codec. Note that yo u may see two new hardware wizards as one may popup for the HD Audio codec on th e motherboard. b. If you are updating the driver, just right-click on the HDMI function driver in the device manager and in the 'properties' page select "Update Driver". c. Do not connect to Windows Update to search for software and click "Next". d. Select "Install from a list or specific location" and click "Next". e. Select "Don't Search. I will choose the driver to install" and click "Next". f. If asked for the device type, Select "Sound Video and Game controllers" and c lick "Next". g. Click "Have Disk" and navigate to the directory with intchdmi.inf and intchdm i.sys. h. Select intchdmi.inf and click "Open", click "Ok". i. Select "Intel HD Audio HDMI Audio Function Driver" and click "next". j. Click "continue anyway" on the warning regarding Windows Logo. To determine if the driver has been loaded correctly, refer to the Verifying Ins tallation section below. ********************************************* * 4. The function driver (intchdmi.sys) version should be listed on this screen. ********************************************* * 6. INSTALLATION SWITCHES AVAILABLE ********************************************* The switches in the SETUP.EXE file will have the following syntax. Switches are not case sensitive and may be specified in any order (except for the -s switch). Switches must be separated by spaces. SETUP [-b] [-overwrite][-nolic] [-res x_pixels x y_pixels x bits x vert_refresh ] [-l{lang_value}] [-s] [-f2 {path\LogFile}] GRAPHICS-INSTALLATION CUSTOM SWITCHES -b Forces a system reboot after the installation completes. In non-silent mode, the absence of this switch will prompt the user to reboot. In silent mode, the a bsence of this switch forces the Setup.exe to complete without rebooting (the us er must manually reboot to conclude the installation process). -overwrite Installs the graphics driver regardless of the version of previously installed driver. In non-silent mode, the absence of this switch will prompt the user to confirm overwrite of a newer Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator driver . In silent mode, the absence of this switch means that the installation will a bort any attempts to regress the revision of the Intel Graphics Media Accelerato r driver. -nolic Suppresses the display of the license agreement screen. In non-silent mod e, the absence of this switch will only prompt the user to view and accept the l icense agreement. The functionality of this switch is automatically included dur ing silent installations. -res [x_pixels] x [y_pixels] x [bits per pixels] x [vert_refresh]. Sets the four default display parameters: pixels per line, pixels per column, bits per pixel and vertical refresh rate. For example: If you want 1024 pixels per line, 768 pi xels per column, 16 bits per pixel and a vertical refresh rate of 75Hz, you woul d input the following at the command line "-res 1024x768x16x75".

-l{lang_value} The switch specifies the language used for the graphics installat ion user interface. The absence of this switch will cause the installation to ut ilize the language of the operating system as its default. Hexadecimal values fo r the supported languages can be found in the localized langauage abbreviations section of this readme. -s Run in silent mode. The absence of this switch causes the install to be perfo rmed in verbose mode. -f2<path\logfile> Specifies an alternate location and name of the log file creat ed by a silent install. By default, the log file is created and stored during a silent install in the windows temp directory as IntelGFX.log (<WINDIR>\Temp\Inte lGFX.log). ********************************************* * 7. UNINSTALLING THE SOFTWARE ********************************************* NOTE: This procedure assumes the above installation process was successful. This uninstallation procedure is specific only to the version of the driver and inst allation files included in this package. For Graphics: 1.
