1. The race shall be run under the Malaysian Amateur Athletic Union rules and the Penang Amateur Athletic Association competition rules. 2. The race will start and finish at Esplanade(beside ity !all"# Penang. . $. Each team shall register 1% names. &uplication of names '()) *+T be allowed. +n the morning of the race day# the Team Manager shall confirm the final 12 runners who are to run in the relay. ,. The relay which shall co-er a distance of .2.. /m. with each runner co-ering a distance# which shall depend on the gradient of the route. Please refer to attached route map for details. %. The BATON MUST BE CARRIED in the hand throughout the race and MUST be e changed !ithin the change o"er #one pro"ided$mar%ed& 0. (t is the responsibility of the team manager to report his team runners b' (&)) a&m. on the race day to the appointed officials. 1ailure to do so will be liable to dis2ualification. .. The official closing time of the race for Men +pen category will be 0 hours and for the Men 3eteran4Mi5ed category will be . hours. 6. The age limit for Men +pen is between 10 to $, years and Men 3eteran is $% years and abo-e. Age shall be calculated as at $1.12.271$. Mi5ed category 8 10 years and abo-e. 9. Assistance o* an' %ind including pacing shall NOT be allo!ed during the race& Runners$Teams run the ris% o* being dis+uali*ied i* the' are *ound to be accompanied b' their team o**icials or supporters on an' mode o* transport& 12. +nly outriders appointed by the PAAA Technical ommittee shall be allowed to accompany the runners# who shall maintain a record of the time ta/en by each runner o-er the re2uired distance. 1$. <efreshments shall be pro-ided by the organi:ers# which will be found in the pic/;up buses. *o refreshment shall be ta/en by the runner while running. 1,. 'ith the e5ception of the 1st runner# the other runners will be sent to their respecti-e stations by the buses pro-ided by the organi:ers. *o runner shall use his own transport. (f any member of a team is not accounted for in the buses pro-ided at the time of departure or at the time of drop off at his station# then his team shall be dis2ualified. 1%& ,ri#es ?
