All students MUST choose a FYP that is related
to biomechanical engineering with approval from
the Coordinator
Admission will be based on successful interview
by the Coordinator
B for ME2121 (Engineering Thermodynamics)
Admission will be based on CAP and a successful
interview by the Coordinator
Student should not be enrolled in Minor in
Materials Science and Engineering
Admission will be based on CAP and written
justification for choice of Specialisation in
Mechatronics
All students specialising in Mechatronics MUST
choose a FYP from the list of projects offered
by the Control/ Mechatronics group. FYP
projects from other groups can also be
considered, based on the Mechatronics content of
the FYP
Regarding the list of specified Technical Elective
modules, since there are several other very
relevant courses within and outside the
department in NUS, students are allowed to take
other relevant modules as replacements for the 6
technical electives mentioned for the
Mechatronics specialisation. However, the
students must get this approved by the Coordinator.

to micro systems technology with approval from
the Coordinator

All ME students who have completed a


minimum of 80MCs of the programme
requirements are eligible to apply
All students are required to do their FYP
in an area related to Offshore Oil & Gas
Technology. If the students choose to take up
Vacation Internship Programme (VIP) or
Industrial Attachment Programme (IAP),
they are required to do their VIP or IAP in
companies related to Offshore Oil & Gas.
