Administrative Experience
Assistant Judicial Administrator, Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y.
One-year term position. Interview, investigate facts and determine and impose
sanction for students and staff found in violation of the Campus Code of Conduct.
Cultural Diversity Program Director, Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier,
Binghamton, N.Y. Four and a half years.
Designed new educational programs on cultural competence focused on refugees,
immigrants and mental health issues. Designed unique mental health interpreter
training program jointly offered by the Mental Health Association of the Southern
Tier and Broome Community College, N.Y. for Vietnamese, Lao, African-
American (1996), Bosnian, Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish-speaking, Arabic,
Kurdish (1997), Arabic, Spanish-speaking (1999) interpreters, combined with
cultural competency training for human service workers. Designed mental health
interpreter service. Participated in the drafting of the first New York State Office
of Mental Health Cultural and Linguistic Competency Standards
