OSANATUR. WHO ARE WE AND WHAT IS OUR MISSION OSANATUR: Association for the development and innovation of the agricultural environment. OSANATURs mission is to place itself at the centre of the Basque Natural and Agricultural Environment, to be the source of its development and innovation. In this pursuit, it works in ve directions: 1. Excellency of the agricultural environment; advocating sustainable farming models which enable us to build and look after whole ecosystems; donning all its assets, such as landscapes, forests and animals, with the appreciation they deserve... simultaneously ensuring that their activity is protable by offering new products and services. 2. Conciliation between Human and Nature; through education, promote the appreciation of Nature, preserve natural ecosystems, increase their number and generate empathy towards all creatures that inhabit them. Above all, recover the relationship between people and nature. 3. Personal development; in its educational, formative and health areas. Create new frames for intervention, as well as setting up enterprises and services that feed the benets back to Society. 4. Compromise towards social needs; promoting solidarity and social cohesion. 5. Open to innovation; open towards new and innovative scenarios aimed towards excellence. OSANATUR has devised a new methodology, which employs new and effective services and solutions, to be able to answer societys needs. This is achieved working within the rural environment, focusing on animals and nature, and turning experimentation and research in its main tools. Besides, it is committed to making sure that the results of its activities be practical, effective and sustainable, pursuing excellence in all areas of actuation. OSANATURs mark of identity is having its foundations in Rurality, Nature, People and Research. eguzki dantza 3 2-SUMMER SOLSTICE, RESCUEING OUR ROOT CULTURE Although it may appear as new activity for todays society it is in fact old business; something that took places at the dawn of time, thousands of years ago, in this very place. Mankind back then was ONE with Earth, Sun and Nature, and men were aware of how the global environmental changes, worldwide events and even lifes whims had an effect in the loss of personal root memory. They tried to hold on to it via rituals, passing down of wisdom, memory, a conscious attitude towards life, and admitting that these were Natures brightest aspects, that would make them able to be ONE with this absoluteness. Murumendi and its surroundings are the source of many myths and tales. This mountains ridges, as well as its lap are studded by archaeological ndings and settlements. Up until recently it has remained the meeting point for people from the adjacent farms and villages, who would gather there for their activities and celebrations. Therefore, in this event, we meet our ancient culture, to forge and live a shared experience in body and soul.
eguzki dantza 4 3-One Heart Dance location In recent generations, since the industrial revolution to be more precise, the rural environment has evolved from being the centre of our culture, language and economy, to falling into a spiralling decay. Meanwhile, city areas have become the core of human power, be it in terms of culture, economy or in the newfound societys appetite for consumerism and relentless thirst for change. Nowadays, the break from nature and agricultural activity is patently obvious. Probably as obvious as the shortcomings and unwanted results that todays society is suffering as a consequence of this rupture. It would be far too long to list the whole complexity of it, but highlighting just the main aspects will sufce; that is to say for example the chronic dependency that we suffer in many areas such as the capacity of aliment generation, loss of cultural and background knowledge, and all this within debilitating process of the Basque identity. On the other hand, and perhaps most importantly, the deterioration that our wellbeing, in a holistic sense, has suffered: our natural core has been dislocated and this is palpable in the relations with our partners, family, community and with ourselves. The mass of people who are enduring physical, psychological or social hardship is incrementing by the day. This schism has brought consequences with it, specically for the agricultural world and for nature. Natural landscapes have gradually faded away; the biodiversity, elds and lands where agricultural activities ourished have followed the same path to disappearance, and with it, our capacity to generate aliments has perished, rendering us dependant of external supply. The imbalance is considerable and seen in this light, one thing becomes apparent: Nature needs the power of mankind as much as mankind needs the power of nature. We perform One Heart Dance in its original natural surroundings with the goal of re- placing the core of Basque society and the core of world society back where it should be, and with the intention of bringing into the limelight the undeniable necessity we have for a healthy rural environment and nature. eguzki dantza 5 the origins The event takes place at Pagorriagako gaina on the lap of Murumendi mountain. A mesmerising place protected by beauty and naturs waves. Here we nd many archeological evidences of human settlements that date from different times in human history as far back as Paleolithic times. The Pagorriaga farm, an abandoned farm which takes its name from the area, was refurbished and new agricultural activity was initiated with deers, horses, dwarf goats, etc. The activity is performed in an ecological and sustainable manner and by channeling love waves to promote growth. Additionally, as a side activity, it started running as a agritourism accommodation, making the stay of those who spent some time there a trully memorable natural experience. With the passing of time, it has become an exceptional area, functioning as the base, meeting point and test ground for many international groups of scientitsts and research teams, all of whom attempt to nd the key and the laws of life by bridging the gap between old and new knowledge. It has been by their decision, that is, by agreement of those who transmit knowledge of the universal plan, that this place was selected to welcome the spiritual guru or Chaman of the Hoppy community, Roy Little Sun. Once on location, and after observing the ancient monolyth that laid there, decifring its message and receiving the force that emanated in the surrounding, the Fire Altar of Pagorriaga was built. Following the ancient rituals, the re was lit and it was fed with the ashes from many res around the world whose ames have been alive for thousands of years. In his own words, the Basque Country and its mountains are the api of most of the worlds clans and cultures, within the Hoppy community. This is why he established Pagorriaga as the re-core of the world, with the intent of keeping it alive eternally until all clans and societies of the world are united, that is, until the force of peace is settled in the heart of every being. In the trip that he is undertaking around the world, he is making a call to the re-keepers from all parts and cultures, to come to Pagorriaga, and to unite in its re the worlds universal plans. The goal, however, reaches further and his instructions have been for us to perform One Heart Dance during this coming Summer Solstice in order to build a bridge between the waves of The Earth and The Sun, by joining the force of men and nature. This is an opportunity for us to rescue the rites and customs of ancient culture, to nd our memory, where we come from, to regain ownership of our origins and roots.
With the aim of supporting the above said, we are enclosing the notes and theories that Basque research Imanol Bixente published in his book Euskal Herria, the cradel of Tranta. eguzki dantza 6 OBSERVATIONS ! Culture is transmitted from generation to generation throughout milenia. ! A communitys culture does not necessarily disappear (not at least in its totality) with the disappearance of its language. Therefore, two communities which speak different languages can have the same culture or cultural elements in common; for example the Celts and the Basques have some very similar cultural features due to the Celts being in origin Indoeuropealized Basques who kept the cultural elements of their mother culture (words and some signs of basque origin such as the lauburu, etc.) ! Before the neolithic indoeuropeization, all the peoples belonging to the basque-den group of Swadesh bore the same cultural and chamanic features. ! Communities that suffered genetic mutations due to the CT and who are not in the basque-den group (for not speaking a basque related language) can also own shared cultural and chamanic characteristics even if they might have lost their language. We can rescue the ORIGINAL culture and the basque chamanism that existed in the Paleolithic Europe through the study of the basque-den comunities set in Eurasia and America that still keep sed culture and from them extract the common features. HIPOTHESIS Studying the shared anthropologic features in the basque-den group of the Swadesh (and the derived peoples of the CT even if they do not belong to the same language group) we can recover the ORIGINAL basque culture that existed in Europe in the Paleolythic era. This therefore means that an unparallel opportunity has been presented to Pagorriaga, where all previously existed eras can be merged into one reality now (in euskera orain). In other words, a chance to explain the relevance of Euskera over the totality (orain = oroaren gain) and in this way, to round up (borobil) both Euskara and the forgotten culture, to gather both realities (bi oroak bil) under the sense of Euskera. ROY LITTLE SUN-i buruz: For those who still dont know this man, just say that his age is around 80, although for a man his age, he posseses exceptional health, strength, vitality, intelligence and conscience. He carries the message of the Hopi indian tribe from Arizona USA. He lived with them for decades absorbing their ancient knowledge. Find our ancient roots and make them our new roots, through a shared experience. ! Gathering of people from different cultures who are working towards the same GOOD or with shared goals. ! Give value and bring to light the farming community and an agricultural practice based on the respect for Nature. ! Spark a sense of community between the councils, citizens and farmers in the area. ! Transform the agricultural environment into the central being which answers to the cultural, leisure, health, education and intelectual needs of society. ! Reignite in the citizens the desire to live in a rural environment and fulll agricultural activities. ! Live and enjoy an new experience joining Natures and Mankinds beuty. ! Achieve wellness in a holistic sense as a result of this event but also the wellbeing of the agricultural economy. eguzki dantza 8 THE ESSENCE OF THE EVENT and THE BENEFITS THAT THE FIRE ALTAR OF PAGORRIAGA ATRACTS. 1. Attracting factor: The marginal 1% of the population. Looking back into time there has always existed that 1% of population outside the norm which has been the genetor of social transformation in every meaningful now. Witnessing and experiencing the worlds current situation it is vital to accelerate the process. Thus, the call for One Heart Dance event is address to this 1% who sits in the margins of society, for it will be this new human force the initiator of a new era for the relationship between nature and mankind. 2. Attracting factor: The 1% of society will the be 99% of Pagorriaga. We will experience the highest concentration of human force. During the performance of the perpetual Sun Dance a circular movement of the dance around an axis- the core will become stronger. Thanks to the coherent movements and rhythm of the dancers, this will become the meeting of all the minds who are gathered and concentrated in the event. It will facilitate meaningful exchanges between all attendants embued by an energetic coherence, forming a new human core. 3. Attracting factor: Knowledge. Fire and the core strength of the dance will attract the meeting and the relationships between the attendees, and each will share the fruits and materialisations of their individual development. All the individual parts will be added to a communal unit and the new shared entity will belong to everyone. This re that belongs to all the members of the community the memory of Earth and life will get invigorated which will in return trigger a transformation in the alchemy between each person and the planet, within the rst degree of implication, this is materialised in the area where it can later become a reality. 4. Attracting factor: Roys message. The universalisation of Roys message and doctrine and with it, the relevance and valoration of adopting a sustainable form of agriculture. Roy Littlesuns presence is a magnetic of attraction in itself. Various media crews will record and give account of the event so the message will not be limited to Pagorriaga and the attendants who gather there, but it will be broadcast to the society at large. 5. Attracting factor: Any event withi the agricultural environment. Cultural, scientic, educational, etc. The location is the ultimate example that showcases the possibilities of development in these areas. 6. Attracting factor: Opulence in all areas. The preparation of the event ground, will bring great improvements to the area in terms of basic installations and infrastructure. It will also be a good experience and practice from an organisational point of view. Additionally, it will attract new nancial sources that will enable for this agricultural land to diversify its activities and to expand into new models for its development. Whats more, the surrounding farming community will harvest the benets of this event; there will be a store set up in the event area, where the farms from the area will display and sell their products. Besides, the services that Beizama has to offer will be running and available for the events visitors. These include the guest house, the bar, the hostel and eguzki dantza 9 restaurants of St. Maina and Mandubi... Finally, the agrotourism hostals in the area will also be available, if needed, depending on the number of atendees. 7. Attracting factor: New network for community work and its consequences. An event such as this one, will spur every Council to get involved with their contributions - in terms of services and organisation and to collaborate with neighbouring Councils and citizens. (The Councils that are linked to Murumendi area: Beizama, Beasain, Itsasondo, Ordizia, Tolosa, Albiztur, Azpeitia, Ezkio-Itsaso,...) The fruits derived from process of preparation and realisation of the event will be felt in the area in the rehabilitation of walking paths, and above all, it will open a door to the management of this natural environment. eguzki dantza 10 OSANATURS CORE The North Star that OSANATUR set at its axis guides this event coherently. To equip this capable world and society with new tools to transform and concoct a new alchemy. In our commitment to answer societys needs we are faced with an unwanted obstacle: the domestic violence that some women suffer. This material manifestation is inexorably linked to an inadequacy and poverty of content. Agricultural environment (garden, labor, animals) and the power of Nature have been employed to retaliate this confrontation between container and emptiness, establishing a new methodology; Following the coherence of our North Star, we are able to appreciate and add value to the rural environment while at the same time understanding and sharing our dependency towards Nature. A transformation has taken place within this women humans by their aquiring of these new tools, adopting the character of a new person and developing the path towards autonomy. They have healed their wounds with nature and love, assuming their role or implication in those undesired situations, and owning the emotional baggage and management of the feelings that crop as a consequence of them, making the way from the solitude to the community and becoming part of a strong social network, empowering them to trudge the path from surrender to a place where they dreams seem attainable and they will nd a renewed apettite for life. This new human beings women will pass from being victims to being protagonists of their own life and by housing OSANATURs STAR and plazing it in their core, they have become key agents in championing the change that is needed in this society in the arena of womens issues, and have pledged to address their endeavours in this quest. The scenario that One Heart Dance sets is an oportunity for the continuous development of these women. They will be agent and main characters in the creation of the ground. This way, eguzki dantza 11 Personal Development Reconciliation between People and Nature Excellence of the rural environment Compromise towards social needs (... ) Open to innovation at the same time as they become owners of their female-strength their exchanges and social network will gain universality, burying solitude and lonelyness in the past. The process that we witness in these women has a crucial relevance; they are essential and they will bestowed there and then not only by the wealth that the event will attract but also by the fruits of their own labor in economical terms. Thus, they will be freed from the burden of having to request social services nancial help, since they will become the generators of their own economy. eguzki dantza 12 4-PROJECT DESCRIPTION ! LOCATION; PAGORRIAGA, a farm and agrotourim guest house in the Matxinbenta borough of Beasain (Gipuzkoa). It is set on a hill at the lap of Murumendi Mountain, where a plethora of archaeogolical evidence from ancient settlements is found. At 700 meters of altitude above the sea level, 42 km from Donostia and away from urban areas. The electricity needs are sourced from the power air and the sun, and local wood is the only fuel used. ! In a circular movement with the re at the centre. In the Hoppy culture, re is the memory of the Earth that ows to the sky, forming the axis of life-energy. In ancient Basque culture, in the center of the Earth lays the sleeping dragon of creation Leherensuge and it can be awaken to rise up to the skies. In the ancient culture, each human being is the personication of the planet and Leherensuge is aroused simultaneously in men as it is in the planet making its way to the manifestation of the heavens in man, that is, the tip of his head. In its course it awakens every mind within the individual materialising as conscience and memory up to the seventh mind. (Leherensuge has seven heads). We see the same idea in Tantra culture: Leherensuge is manifested as kundalini and on its way up the human body it awakens the seven chakras. The purpose is the following: to align natures force with mans own power (body and Earth) sharing an endless conscious movement and being guided by the common axis of consiousness beaming an wave from the centre of the planet (and the centre of each individual) to the centre of the sun: so in men as in the planet. eguzki dantza 14 2. COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES COOKING Conscious and liberating gastronomy..., gaining ownership of food and nutrition. The external planet-Earth and Sun-star are personied within us. Inside as it is outside. Through the relationship and exchanges between the Earth and the Sun germinate the seeds of life which will then transform into foodstuff. Similarly, out of the unity generated from the exchange between mans core ground and his sun, the creative and regenerating seed will spawn and it will serve to nourish Nature. The seed that is germinated outside or in Nature on the frame (Ezparrua) and the one that has originated inside the human being in the enclosure (Eremua) become one in the instant of feeding one another, and the union happens inside the human being, this is, in the enclosure, Eremua or Erain muga (meaning fertilizing ground ). Therefore, this moment when the union between the exterior and the interior, the frame and the enclosure, ezparrua and eremua, nature and human, happens is sacred, for it is the instant when the gates to lifes ow are opened. Our ancient knowledge and culture represented this phenomenon with the Lauburu. The core (in Basque ardatza -hartzen duen atza- the nger that holds or takes) is one and the same for all four heads. Natures core and humans core are one in human as it is in Nature inside as it is outside The vast majority of people in our society fulll this Earth-breathing process in a unconscious way, they eat from the consciousness level of animals. With the sole intention to saciate hunger or falling in todays overindulging tendencies. Whats more the foodstuff we use has no resemblance with the original seed. Furthermore, todays human being has no means to forge the necessary relationship and has remained far from the ownership of the origin of our nutrients. The severe consequences this situation carries are patent in the societys health (or lack of it). In the kitchens of Pagorriaga, we will have the luxury of counting with the guidance of unbeatable experts in conscious and liberating cooking and nutrition (all from the circle of Roy Little Sun). ACTIVE VEGETARIANISM, OWNERSHIP OF THE WHOLESOME FOODSTUFF The fruits of the exchange between Earth and Sun are our aliments. This requires a conscious and productive exchange where we are one with the Earth. The attendees will have the opportunity to learn practical skills in the physical terrain (soil, seeds, plants, etc) as well as in the personal minds enclosure (will, imagination, organisation, creativity...). eguzki dantza 15 NATURAL EXPERIENCE Couching via Nature. Guided walks through nature. We need to cultivate and move our physical being in orther to navigate and apprehend our physical environment. This exchange will provide us with a rich experience, reaching out beyond the physical environment to energetic realms; sensations, emotions, feelings. It will be guided by experts in awareness, enlightment and locating. SHIATSU MASSAGE To in a full, holistic, pleasurable and conscious touch with Nature, we need to learn to be in a full, holistic, pleasurable, conscious and effective touch with our own body. Once again we will start from the physical terrain reaching further to the energetic realm. Beside it will be a great therapy to get rid of the fatigue from all the dancing. Expert guides will lead the workshops. COACHING WITH ANIMALS Coaching with horses and other animals. Humans and animals share the same heart, even if our bodies have developed differently. They cannot use words in the way we do, instead they employ sensations and feelings. The interaction with them will only be possible once we channel our senses and feelings effectively. They will become not only in our reection but also in our masters and will teach us great lessons about the relevance of attitudes in the shaping of our personal story. It will be an opportunity to know better ourselves and to learn new and improved ways for our future interpersonal relationships. Once again, expert guides will lead this workshops. ARTS AND CRAFTS The centre of all beings (the planet, the sun, humans) or their core is silent, still and dark, bare of sound, movement or imagery. Nevertheless, it is the door to creativity. From SILENCE it can create beautiful music and melodies, from STILLNESS it can create movement and dance, and from DARKNESS it can create beautiful images, objects, colours, landscapes, including ones own beauty. We will hold guided workshops in this areas, clay being one of them, to foster our inner creativity. GAMES (for children, young and old) Children are in the nursery of society, growing to give the fruit o their development within the human garden. Through play and new experiences within the Natural environment surrounted by animals, friends and the Earth, their soil will be watered and fertilised. eguzki dantza 16 PRESENTATIONS, ROUND TABLES, WORKSHOPS... We will plough different areas of life and science with guest experts and researchers who will share the new ndings in their elds. It goes without saying that Roy Little Sun will be at its centre and his presence is likely to attract various people who study and share different aspects of the universal knowledge. OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS We will have plenty of beds in a variety of styles to make sure that the attendees get a good rest: yurts, tipis, stable (barn), granary, agroturism guest house, different canopies, under trees, under the stars... ! FOOD We will prepare all meal on location and we will employ local produce and cooks as much as possible. This will be people who have learnt from Roy and we will enjoy delicioius food cooked in a conscioius way. ! TOILETS We will have dry toilets installed in the areas where they are most needed. On top of this we will have some chemical toilets beside the road on the way to the farm. ! SHOWERS Shower facilities will be available. These will be installed where water is easiest to access to avoid this way having to pump water and we will ensure that the soaps used in them will be biodegradable, in order to try and keep our environmental impact to the minimum. Appart from these, there is also a wonderful stream with ponds and waterfalls. !
