14.2 SALES DEMO MODES (for Sales & Marketing)
14.2.1 SOUND DEMO MODE
Entry/Exit Methods: To put the control into the Sound Demo mode, enter the 6-key Sound Demo entry/exit sequence HI
TEMP, DRY, DRY, HI TEMP, DRY, DRY within 3 seconds. Upon completing the entry sequence, the control will start a
Sound Demo cycle as feedback that the operator has successfully invoked Sound Demo mode. Once the control is in the
Sound Demo mode, the control will stay in this mode until the operator takes the control out of this mode. To exit the
Sound Demo mode, repeat the 6-key Sound Demo entry/exit sequence. Since invoking Diagnostics (see above) clears
last run cycle and options in memory, the Diagnostics entry sequences should also remove the control from Sound Demo
mode.
In heater fault mode, Sound Demo mode cannot be run and the Clean L.E.D. continues flashing repeatedly 7 times (1/2
sec on, 1/2 sec off, with 2 seconds between repeats) and START/RESUME remains invalid.
Operation: Response to all key presses and overall operation should mimic what is done during normal operation. The
only differences in Sound Demo mode are:
1. The L.E.D.s for the cycle and option keys will show whatever cycle and options were selected but the actual cycle
running will be the Sound Demo cycle.
2. Any cycle or option changes after the cycle is running will be treated as invalid (flash key L.E.D. 3 times, 1/6 sec
on, 1/6 sec off).
3. The Delay key will be treated as invalid (flash key L.E.D. 3 times, 1/6/sec on, 1/6 sec off).
4. The Cancel key will only clear and go to Standby (i.e., no Cancel drains) when in Sound Demo mode.
The Sound Demo cycle consists of several short wash intervals, each having a different display callout. See Timing Charts
in section 19.1. The Sound Demo cycle will terminate in an off state with blank display similar to Standby. Pressing the
Cancel key at any time will terminate the Demo cycle and put the control in demo standby, but the control will still be in
Sound Demo mode until the operator repeats the entry/exit sequence.
The door switch check should also be disabled during Sound Demo mode so that back to back Demo cycles can be ran
without opening the door between cycles.
Sensor based algorithms (like A.P.F.s, thermal holds, R/A empty L.E.D. operation, etc) are not active or supported while in
Demo mode.
There is no rapid advance feature on the Sound Demo cycle.
Upon exiting the Demo mode, the control should reset the last ran cycle and options in memory to the standard default of
Normal Cycle with the Normal Dry option on. The Sound Demo cycle should NOT be retained as the last cycle ran.
14.2.2 CONSOLE DEMO MODE
Entry/Exit Methods: To put the control into the Console Demo mode, enter the 6-key Console Demo entry/exit sequence
DRY, HI TEMP, HI TEMP, DRY, HI TEMP, HI TEMP within 3 seconds. Upon completing the entry sequence, the control
will start a Console Demo cycle as feedback that the operator has successfully invoked Console Demo mode. Once the
control is in the Console Demo mode, the control will stay in this mode until the operator takes the control out of this mode.
To exit the Console Demo mode, repeat the 6-key Console Demo entry/exit sequence. Since invoking Diagnostics (see
above) clears last run cycle and options in memory, the Diagnostics entry sequences should also remove the control from
Console Demo mode.
Console Demo mode operation is the same as the Sound Demo mode operation above, but the wash motor is disabled
and will not turn on in Console Demo mode.
14.3 DIAGNOSTICS CYCLE (for Service and D/W Factory Test)
Traditionally there has been only one Diagnostics cycle available to both the Factory and Service. Because it was catered
to the factorys test loop for sequencing and timing, it was less than ideal for Service. The interval times were too short to
