Rodeo Cafe varies hours depending on the business climate.
Rodeo Cafe offers various work schedules and shifts depending on
demand from the public.
Each restaurant has a designated area where the work schedule is
posted. Time cards are also kept close by.
Employees must correctly copy down the times they begin and end
work.
Employees who intentionally alter their time card will be dismissed.
Schedules will be made one week in advance. Any employee
requiring time off should notify the manager in writing no later
than one week in advanced. However, notifying the manager as
soon as possible is always best. Employees must understand it is
difficult to give multiple employees off at the same time.
The in time on the schedule is the time the employee must be
ready to begin work. Employees who are frequently late and
employees who frequently leave early will be dismissed.
If an employee anticipates arriving to work more than 15 minutes
late, they should call the store and let the manager know.
Employees should always be prepared for late customers. If
customers are still ordering during closing time, it is unlikely that
employees will leave at their scheduled out time.
Only the store manager or the assistant manager may alter the
schedule. If you notice a scheduling conflict, notify a manager
immediately.

Any employee too sick to work must notify the manager as soon as possible. This will
always be the policy unless prior arrangements have been made with the store
manager. Any employee who comes to work sick, or becomes sick while at work, may be
sent home. Hourly employees will be paid only for the time they have worked. Salaried

employees will be allowed one sick day for every continuous four months of work.
Abuse of the sick leave policy will not be tolerated.

Rodeo Cafe offers two types of payroll: Hourly and Salary.
HourlyEmployees will be paid a set hourly rate for the number of

Rex Jones founded the Rodeo Caf in 1987. The restaurant first opened for
business on November 4
th
of the same year. The original location of the Rodeo Cafe was
located at 4000 Cowboy Drive, Dallas.
Rex dreamed of a business operating on the concepts of good food, good
service, and reasonable prices. Rex believes his teams of employees continue to
implement these concepts on a daily basis. As long as these three concepts are carried
out, the company will continue to thrive.
Following the success of the first restaurant, Rex Jones opened a second
Rodeo Cafe location April 2, 1988. This location found at 1823 North River. Rex will
continue to seek new locations for future expansion and possible franchising.
