A&R Copiers supportng Tanderra in the producton
of our Newsleter.
Please look afer the businesses that support your
organisaton. We thoroughly recommend A&R Copi-
ers.
They can be contacted on 08 8644 3066.
We are asking patrons, members of Tanderra, and resident Groups, to please observe the No Parking areas around
Tanderra. They are placed to provide safe areas for you to load and/or unload of goods, materials, equipment etc.
It has been identfed that parking in those areas would not be safe for patrons, or vehicles, and might seriously impair

ACROSS the BOARD

In March we had a successful AGM, held on Saturday 29th March at 4:15 pm. It was pleasing that we had a good number
of members in atendance. The various reports were presented and received by the members in atendance. Comments
since have indicated that all went well. It was pleasing that a good fruitul discussion took place during the meetng. One
of the highlights was the frst tme use of the PA system installed several days before the AGM. As with all new installa-
tons there needs to be some tweeking of the system. We will gradually work the gremlins out.
The Special Events Commitee contnues to work towards the Mult-Cultural event on the May Market weekend. Feature
act is the Celtc Borderers, they will be performing on Saturday and Sunday, then there is a concert at the Westland Hotel
Motel entertainment area on the Saturday night, entry is by tcket $10.00 a person. A workshop will be held by the Celtc
Borderers on Saturday, tme to be advertsed. Numbers are limited, so you need to register.
Our BBQ does a very good job at providing an alternatve to the Tea Rooms delicious home cooked meals. Especially for
the members of Cascade Radio Controlled Car Club and breakfasts. To assist the BBQ members provide good healthy
food, members provide edible supplies to Margaret and her team. Our thanks go to one such member, Shaz Saler; Shaz
has recently provided a sizable quantty of delicious onions to help in dressing the snags, steak on sale through the BBQ;
thanks Shaz.
Speaking of members that help out behind the scenes, we must not go past Heather and Merilyn for their undying assis-
tance in both creatng and distributng publicity material keeping members and patrons informed of what is happening at
the various markets. This publicity goes across Whyalla, and across Eyre and York Peninsulas, the Mid North, the Outback,
and other such places.
Fran and her team are working hard to provide in fund raising, the Easter rafe raised $257.oo at the March market. First
prize went to a member of the visitng Probus group from Quorn. Aprils market will fnd us vying for the Mothers Day
rafe, with, again, very good prizes on ofer. A very special prize has been donated to Fran; this will be ofered during the
Mult-Cultural Market in May.
At the April market we will be trying a diferent way of closing of the driveway that goes between the Market building
and H and J Blocks. Comments are welcome as to its asthetc and practcality as compared to the current chains used.
I look forward to seeing you at Aprils market.
