Steps For Installation
1. Double Click jre-6u15-windows-i586-s.exe and install
it as per instructions
2. Double Click "Setup-openjump13.exe"
NOTE: Click NO when it says to download Java (proceed if any error
message showed say "ok")
CHOOSE the Installation Folder as C:\Program Files\OPENJUMP
3. Copy the .jar files (printer, vertex symbol, mapgentool(unzip files)) to
C:\Program Files\OPENJUMP\lib\ext
4. Create a folder "batik" in the folder C:\Program Files\OPENJUMP\lib\
(no need create if already shows)
5. Unzip "batik" file : Copy ALL the .jar files in the "batik" folder to
C:\Program Files\OPENJUMP\lib\batik
OpenJUMP is a Geographical Information System (GIS),
which has been developed originally by the two Canadian
companies Vivid Solutions and Refractions Research under
the name JUMP. The name JUMP is an abbreviation for
Unified Mapping Platform. The J points to the used
programming language Java. Open is for Open Source,
which means that the source code is accessible for everybody
Note: Every layer has to be saved in a file or database first, if this has been done one can
save the project
