The authors take a look at the three worst school shootings, at Virginia Tech, Columbine,
and Sandy Hook. They say that each shooter had sometime of mental disorder or was under
mental stress, and explain how they believe something could have been done to prevent the
incidents. They conclude article by saying that everyone needs to work together to improve the
mental health of students.

Value? It was a very valuable source for the topic of the mental health of the shooters but
otherwise there wasnt much useful information.

The center for disease control writes about certain mental health problem that children
are facing, and makes the public aware of the health issues. They also give ways that mental
disorders in children can be prevented.

Current? The article was posted from 2014, so it is as up to date as it can be.
Credible? There others do not reveal their names because it is a government site, but
because it is a government site the information is most likely valid.
Value? It was somewhat valuable, but still only focused on the mental health of students.

Value? For understanding school shootings, and learning as much as possible about them its the perfect

The author gives a look into the easy access of guns, and the percentage of gun violence in the United States
compared to the rest of the world.

Value? It was helpful for finding out gun statistics, and how America ranks on a world scale, but otherwise
there is not much useful information.

There is no author, because it is an informational site, and has a few paragraphs of how bullying can affect
students negatively. It explains how certain school systems overlook bullying, and even know it has
been the biggest problems in schools throughout history educators still seem to overlook it.

Credible? There is no author, but the site is credible, and supplies valid information about bullying.
Value? Is useful for learning one or two things about bullying, but generally doesnt have that much
information.

The authors give list some statistics that put together the general demographic for all the recent school
shooters. And review the areas that the shootings take place, along with the areas the shooters live

Current? It was posted in 2002 which makes it not the most reliable source, but it does have some useful
information none the less.
Credible? There are two authors from Marshal University, which is a very good university, and a credible
source.
Value? If youre looking for specific information about the demographic of the school shooters it is valuable,
but otherwise it contains very little information.

The site doesnt have any authors, but contains a lot of information about school shootings, the shooters,
and causes of the incidents that have been occurring. It contains multiple sections that all give a
different side or point view when looking at the issue of school shootings.

Current? It was published in 2014, and is as update as possible.
Credible? The cite is related to the University of Michigan which is a well-known university, and a very
valid source.
Value? It has great value compared to other sites dealing with school shootings, because it gives statistics,
facts, different points of views and arguments. It has multiple sections that explains possible
solutions or methods of prevention for mental disorders, and other causes of the recent school
shootings.

The authors go over into lots of detail about mental and emotional health, and explain what
makes a mentally healthy person. The article explains certain character traits that a mentally healthy
person will have, and even give many ways that you people can remain or become mentally and
emotionally healthy.

Current? It was posted in 2014, and is very up to date.
Credible? There are two credible authors who probably have a background in mental health,
and the site is a .org, which makes this a credible source.
Value: This has great value when attempting to define what a mentally and emotionally healthy
person is, and how people can improve their overall mental health for life.
