Overview
I am student currently in my first year of studies at Southampton Solent university, the
degree Im studying is international business management. I have an extensive set of skills
and knowledge that I have acquired through employment and through education over the
past 5 years. I have acquired great communication skills and team leadership skills through
past employment and I thrive off problem solving especially when related to business.


Education
GCSE- Steyning grammar school
11 GCSE graded between A-C which include GCSE A in IT and Mathematics,
furthermore Bs in both English and Business studies.
A-level- Steyning college
Business studies high grade B
Economics high grade B
2013 BA(Hons) 3 year degree course
Currently in my 1

year of studying BA (Hons) international business management
degree at Southampton Solent university.




Work experience
Association manager, Springwells hotel. For near 3 years from the period of 2010 to
2013 I worked at a small family run hotel. I had to develop skills to deal with
customers and to help other staff over those 3 years.

Team leader, Next retail. I worked at Next retail for close to 9 months within the
stockroom staff. I came in and within a few months became a team leader of a
team of around 20 people on a daily basis. I had to work hard as a lot of other
people depended on me.


Professional consultancy pitch, Southampton Solent University. In 2014, I had to
pitch in front of a board of people regarding a possible introduction to new
operations within the new forest in Hampshire in order to help increase levels of
tourism. This experience helped me to develop key communication skills between
group members whom I pitched with and the people who I pitched to. I gained
good positive feedback that I had contributed sufficient team work and skills to
help our group get an overall good grade. #

Main skills and attributes
I have gained good communication skills, this is mainly through employment and
working as a team or being a team leader. Also working in a group for my
consultancy pitch has allowed for me to gain good communication skills.

I have gained good leadership skills, this is mainly through becoming a team leader
of a small group over some months. This has gave me high levels of responsibility
and the team I was leading depended on me so I was required to become a good
leader.

Problem solving skills, through being a leader and in certain situations. I was forced
to think quickly to solve problems that people would have and gave to me,
therefore quick thinking had to be done in order to be a good problem solver.


Main interests
As a youngster I have always enjoyed various sports from tennis to golf, however in recent
years I have become a regular gym user and like to go most days even at university. I also
like to watch sports and am a huge fan of football both watching it and playing it if I have
the time.
