There are several known issues with the migration process for 3roup#ise, M+Mail
and cc4Mail mail systems. The following describes some of the workarounds for these
problems.
GroupWise
In order to migrate from 3roup#ise 5.x to &xchange '(((, you must install the
3roup#ise 5.x client on the &xchange '((( +erver that performs the migration. The
Migration #i!ard uses the 3roup#ise client to access message items in 3roup#ise.
#hen the client is installed, a mail profile called Novell Default Settings is created,
and the profile automatically adds &xchange +erver as one of its information
services. Therefore, the client prompts for an &xchange logon for each migrating
user, and this interrupts migration.
To ensure an uninterrupted migration process:
6. &dit the 3roup#ise mail profile to remove &xchange +erver from its list of
services.
'. 7aunch the 3roup#ise client.
8. ,pen the )ddress .ook.
9. 3o to File:Services.
5. ;emove &xchange +erver from the list of Services installed.
MSMail
If you are running the &nglish version of M+Mail on a locali!ed version of Microsoft
#indows< '((( +erver in an unsupported language for &xchange +erver '(((, you
must manually replace the Msfs3.dll. Its version needs to be locali!ed in the same
language as your #indows '((( version. Msfs3.dll is installed with Microsoft
,utlook< and can be copied from a computer where ,utlook is installed.
Note: !nstalling "utloo# in t$e locali%ed language is not supported.
cc:Mail version &.'
To migrate mail from cc:Mail version &.'
6. Copy the cc4Mail files !mport3.e(e and )(port3.e(e to the &xcusive:.in
directory or to the directory where Migration #i!ard is installed, assuming you
did not use the default directory.
'. ;ename !mport3.e(e to !mport.e(e.
8. ;ename )(port3.e(e to )(port.e(e.
9. Copy the following files to the )(c$srvr:*in directory4 Cf+&,3.dll,
Ci+&,3.dll and Me+&,3.dll.

Deplo-ment Documentation Correction
In chapter '( of Deplo-ing )(c$ange in a Small "rgani%ation. under the topic
*eploying &xchange '((( +erver, the following sentence is misleading4
=)fter the system is configured, they will use the Migration #i!ard to create new
&xchange mail accounts based on the +endmail directory.=
1nless the Sendmail directory is 7ightweight *irectory )ccess >rotocol $7*)>%-
based, or a custom directory extractor was used, the Migration #i!ard will not be
able to migrate from the SendMail directory.
