o!"a"days technology has de#eloped to a large e$tend. At the same time the need for
systems !ith automation and high security are preferred. So, by using one of the best
technologies a#ailable i.e. %& !e are designing an automatic po!er meter reading system for
commercial and domestic purposes. &or paying electricity bills !e ha#e to go to e"se#a for
paying the bills, this is #ery time consuming process and in electrical department side there may
be a chance of errors in noting the units and issue of monthly bills. 'y using this project !e can
a#oid such problems.
The system is consists of %& digital (o!er meters installed in e#ery consumer unit and an
electricity system at the energy pro#ider side. The %& )igital (o!er *eter is a single phase
digital +,h po!er meter !ith embedded %& encoder and decoder !hich utilizes the %& net!or+
to send its po!er usage reading using encoder bac+ to the energy pro#ider !irelessly. A !or+ing
prototype of the system !as build to demonstrate the effecti#eness and efficiency of automatic
meter reading, billing and notification through the use of %& net!or+.
This project is aimed to de#elop a system to pro#ide security by intimating the condition of
energy meter reading to the control section. There are t!o sections in this project, ma+es use of a
%& transmitter to send the messages resembling the condition.
The main objecti#e of this project is to design a !ireless energy meter system !ith the help
of %& technology. &or measuring energy consumed by the user !e are going to use current and
#oltage sensing circuit, at the same time sensors data !ill be displayed in -.) and automatically
one message !ill send through %& communication to the control section. In this project !e are
using bulb as a load. /n -.) !e are going display sensors data. if limit of the sensor data
e$ceed then S*S !ill be send to the o!ner.
