Summery blue
Evaluate red reliable?
Reflection yellow how is it going to help?

This article talks about a woman that survived the sex industry. She writes a letter to Eamonn Duff about
her journey from start to finish.
It is written by a survivor of sex trafficking so I assume it is reliable.
Different viewpoint.

This article breaks down the statistics of sex trafficking. There are around 400,000
children in the US that are trading sexual favors for clothing, food, shelter, drugs and
money.
This article is reliable because it came from the schools data base, it came from a news
article in Australia criticizing the U.S. but it has valid information.
This helps me breakdown what I have researched and see this issue in a different view.

This talks about human trafficking awareness month.
Valid! Written by the mayor of Duluth MN. It talks about how they are holding a conference with guest
speaker Rachel Lloyd.
This shows that Counties are doing more than the government, and that something is being done to
make people aware.

Nevada it is slightly legal to prostitute but has restrictions. Nevada tightly watches the sex trafficking and
has mandatory STD testing every week for people that practice legal sex work. But there are still people
that practice illegally.

Nonfiction book Girls Like Us
Bibliography of Rachel Lloyd, her book goes in between events of her life then transitions
into more current GEMS events.
It was a published bibliography book.
Gave me a personal story.
Lloyd, Rachel. Girls like Us: Fighting for a World Where Girls Are Not for Sale, an Activist Finds Her Calling
and Heals Herself. New York: HarperCollins, 2011. Print.
Fiction film safe
Is a story about a young girl that is abducted by her fathers gang. Because she is a math
genius and remembers numbers very well. Luke the main character is an ex-boxer that
feels the need to save this girl and uses a prostitute in the making of saving her.
This movie was found on Netflix and was filmed and produced by professionals.
It was one of the last things I did in the capstone so it didnt do too much for helping. But
showed that prostitutes are not always used for sexual gratification but to pose as a wife or
girlfriend. It sometimes just gives them a break.
SAFE. Dir. Boaz Yakin. 2012. Netflix.
Documentary: KCLV City of Las Vegas Presents- Teen Prostitution: Stolen Lives
A police officer that had been in the system for many years talked about how much he
knows about sex trafficking in LA. The anchor talks about organizations that help these
girls escape and the warning signs in teens for parents to look for.
Filmed by a TV channel in LA and talked with a police officer and to real survivors of sex
trafficking.
Shows me how much the police care and how some of these police officers either dont
care or participate and their consequences for their actions.
TV Show: Ted Talk
Rachel Lloyd talks about her organization and a tad bit about her story but mostly about
some of her clients stories. Rachel states that we must be more aware of this situation.
Yea because it is sponsored by ted talks and she works with the government and is the
founder of GEMS a mentoring system for girls that want to be helped out of the life of sex
trafficking.
Gave examples of real life stories and added more to the book because she was saying
some of the same things as where in her book.
