INTRODUCTION
Every second, millions of persons connect to internet to many different reasons.
Check email, chat with friends, play videogames, watch movies, listen music, see
pictures, whatever it be, each of them needs a large infrastructure to can it work
and a regular maintenance to have it updated. As we all knew, everything need a
human-hand, and this is not the exception.
Everybody can connect their device to internet, it is so simple. But, to know how
it is work, which are the solutions for regular problems, how configure it, and so
on, it is so complicate for the end-user.
For this reason, we are going to learn the easiest, until the hardest network stuff.
We are going to able to make an Ethernet cable until a big network. I hope, you
reader, be ready for this, because it is just the beginning of all.

COPPER
We have two types of copper cable. The common for the end-user, the straight-
through, and the cross-over. Each of them have a different and important use. Is
just to know what we need.

CROSS-OVER CABLE
For example, If we need transfer data from a computer to other computer, we
must use the cross over cable.
Other example could be when we need connect two switches, we use the cross
over cable too.
As we see, we use cross-over cable, when we need have a direct connection
between two devices, maybe is not common for the end-user, but, for the ones
who work in networks, it is.


STRAIGHT-THROUGH CABLE
This type of copper cable is the most common. Why?, because is the type of cable
which all telecommunication companies give it to their users to use it, with the
finality to connect a device to internet.
An example of the previous is when we need to connect some devices with a
switch. With the finality to create a local network, which can be used in a business
network.

CONCLUSION
It was easy to know when use each cable. At the same time, the practice was easy
too. I know that I am going to learn a lot of things. I cant wait.
The laboratory is inside of an excellent place. But, when you are in of it, you throw
away all these thoughts. We need new computers, material, network hardware
and more.
The practice was insufficient, because we needed the material to do it, like when
we needed to make a RJ-45 cable. We couldnt do it! But, with the study and
practice, I hope do all the stuff which we couldnt do it in the laboratory.
