BARNET COUNCIL LOCAL ELECTIONS 22 MAY 2014
Hugh has been your councillor in Hale Ward
for nearly 8 years and believes that he has
made a difference. From installing
playgrounds, to improving parks. From
ensuring grass verges are repaired, to
getting yellow lines painted at hazardous
junctions. From negotiating with the
authorities to get your child into your school
of choice, to asking planning officers to
consider the residents point of view when
deciding applications. But now he needs
your vote to give him the opportunity to
complete projects he has started. These
include efforts to improve the traffic flow at
Apex Corner, (see his petition http://
chn.ge/1hP3GcU) - efforts to make
Scratchwood Open Space a place that you
want to visit - to continue working with
local police to make Hale a safe place in
which to live to continue his work with
residents groups to improve the quality of
life for people living in Hale. There are many
things still left to be done but with your
support he will continue to make a
difference.

BARNET COUNCIL LOCAL ELECTIONS 22 MAY 2014 VOTE CONSERVATIVE
Having grown up in Hale and attended
Deansbrook Junior School, Tom became
involved in local politics because he wanted
to help the local residents. As a local
Councillor he has:
Worked with local residents to bring
Lyndhurst Park back into use (new play
equipment and paths).
Opposed overdevelopment in Hale in
the form of unsuitable house
conversions and back garden
development.
Lobbied effectively for several roads to
be resurfaced such as: Hale Drive,
Sefton Avenue, Highview
Gardens, plus Lyndhurst Avenue.

Going forward he will fight to improve
crossing facilities on Hale Lane and Bunns
Lane, help improve the appearance of Mill
Hill Broadway Station through involvement
with local groups such as the Mill Hill
Neighbourhood Forum, and continue fighting
for better roads and pavements in Hale.
