Grade
1. Objectives/ Learning Outcomes
The students will be able to increase their heart rate by performing the
different exercises given by the teacher.
The students will be able to correctly perform all of the exercises involved
in the game.
The students will be able to achieve a goal with the use of teamwork and
cooperation by politely communicating with each other and providing
positive feedback such as cheering, clapping, etc.
2. Equipment Needed:
(2) 7inch buckets (1 blue and 1 yellow)
(4) 2 inch balls
(5) 3 inch balls
3. Procedures:
Divide the class into 2 teams with even number of players on each team.
Make sure each student is spread out away from each other to avoid
collisions and injury. They should be about 2 arms length apart.
Place an odd number of balls in the center of the field. Be sure that each
team has an equal distance away from the centerline. Behind the Start
line at place 1 bucket so the students are able to go back to the starting
position and place the ball in their goal. That will be the teams goal.

After being told what exercise method they must do in order to get to the
line of balls, the children have to get one ball and bring it back to their
goal.
Movement skills performed during this activity
o Locomotor Skills
Running
Skipping
Tossing the ball back to the other team members.
Hop on one foot
The team with the most balls in their goal wins. Each student will have
an opportunity to get a ball for their team because during the beginning
of the game there will be more balls than players. Each student is only
allowed to retrieve one ball for each turn.
4. Class Organization: 2 team with players standing in a straight horizontal line
from opposite ends of the field.
5. Evaluation:
Have the students measure their heart rate for ten seconds before and after
playing the game so they are able to identify that by performing different
exercise routines, your heart rate will increase.

7. Modifications:
Stay at the line and play the role of catcher.
Score keeper.
Safety: The main issue is making sure that there is adequate space for activities.
Although this game could be played inside, its safer to play it outdoors because
there is more space to spread out and run around. More space is needed when
children are striking objects. Since one of the procedures is to throw the ball back
at another team member, it would be best to do this in an area where there is
plenty of room to throw. Its also important to have each team member be spread
apart from each other since they are aiming for the same location (the center line
with the balls).
