the miCoach X_CELL.
This user manual provides you with everything you need to use the miCoach
X_CELL.
1.1 miCoach X_CELL Overview
Here is an overview of what the device looks like from the front and back:

1.2 miCoach X_CELL Compatibility
The miCoach X_CELL works with smartphones which are compatible with
Bluetooth

Smart Ready technology and the miCoach multi-sport app or

miCoach mobile app.
The miCoach multi-sport app is the key to communicating with the miCoach
X0FLL. You con lood your lolesl dolo, monoge resulls, ond gel performonce
feedback. The app will tell you how you can improve as an athlete.
Note:
You must download the miCoach multi-sport app from the app store (relevant
for your device) before getting started.

1.3 Wearing miCoach X_CELL
There are two ways of wearing the miCoach X_CELL:
1. With the Textile Strap worn around your chest and the miCoach X_CELL
attached to the strap (measures heart rate).
2. With the X_CELL waist clip (doesnt measure heart rate).
Follow these steps to wear the miCoach X_CELL correctly:
Textile Strap Usage
1. Clip the X_CELL onto the two snaps
on the Textile Strap. Ensure the
sensors on the back of the strap
are moistened to pick up your
heart rate.
2. Adjust the Textile Strap to t tightly
on your lorso, wilh lhe X0FLL
centred just below your pectoral
muscles or breasts. The adidas
logo should be facing up.
With an X_CELL waist clip
1. Insert the X_CELL into the clip.
Make sure the on/off button
is inside the ring of the clip and
the adidas logo is visible.
2. llloch lhe clip onlo your shorls,
in lhe middle of your woisl, wilh
the on/off button facing towards
your body.
Note:
For the most accurate measurements during your workout, we advise you to
activate and wear the X_CELL for a few minutes prior to starting your workout.
Trouble-shooting:
- Lolions or oil belween lhe skin ond lhe slrop moy inlerfere wilh conduclivily,
so you may need to gently cleanse the skin to remove any residue.
- When using lhe woisl clip, if il`s nol possible lo ploce il exoclly in lhe cenler,

to one side.

2. Using miCoach X_CELL with a smartphone
2.1 Pairing miCoach X_CELL with your Android or
iOS Bluetooth

Smart Ready compatible device

Note:
Before pairing, ensure Bluetooth

is activated on your smartphone.

Then poir your mi0ooch X0FLL wilh lhe mi0ooch mulli-sporl opp. To do lhis,
follow these steps:
1. Launch the miCoach multi-sport app and login if you already have an
account or register on micoach.com to create a new one.
2. Choose pair sensor now.
3. Short press the on/off button on the X_CELL.
/. From lhe opp selecl Scon nexl lo X0FLL. 0nce your X0FLL is found,
selecl il from lhe lisl. You con idenlify your X0FLL by lhe D on lhe bock
of the device (see section 1.1).

5. Click Pair to connect to the device. Now youre ready to workout.
Note:
- To unpair your X_0ELL Irom the multi-sport app, go to the sensor menu
in the app settings and choose Remove Sensor.
- n case there is an X_0ELL device update during pairing, please Iollow the
steps to update your X_0ELL. t only takes a couple oI minutes and we
recommend you to do this, to stay up to date with the latest improvements.

Trouble-shooting:

1. Make sure your X_CELL is within 0.5 meters of your smartphone and there
are no other miCoach X_CELL devices in the same range.
2. If there is more than one X_CELL device found by the app and youre
unsure which one is yours, lhen check lhol lhe seriol number in lhe opp
matches the serial number on the back cover of the device (see diagram
in section 1.1).

button on the device and search again.

2.2 Sport Tracking and Syncing
Turning on the X_CELL
Press the button on the front of the X_CELL until you hear three beeps.
Your X0FLL is now recording ond you con slorl your gome. Becouse lhe
X0FLL slores up lo 5 hours of workouls, you won`l need lo connecl wilh
your smartphone during your workout.
Here is a list of what the X_CELL measures:

Memory data
miCoach X_CELL records approximately 5 hours of game data. Make sure you
regularly sync your data with the multi-sport app. 5 hours and over of game
tracking means your previous game data will be overwritten.
Ploy your gome, lroin, ond gel beller by collecling your dolo ond improving
your performance.

3. Syncing will start automatically.
4. When sync is complete your games will show up as new game cards.
5. Edit your game details for each game card by clicking the edit button
(see image).

2.3 Training by Power up drills
Power up drills for Jump, 0ul ond Reoclion offer o unique ond engoging lroining
experience. Wilh inslonl feedbock on your performonce, X0FLL helps you lo
improve faster.
To occess Power up drills, selecl lhe corresponding menu ilem in lhe moin
menu of the miCoach multi-sport app. This mode will detect your previously
paired device automatically (for pairing see section 2.1).
To lroin using Power up drills, follow lhese sleps.
1. Select Power up drills in the app.
2. 0hoose from one of lhe lhree drills - Jump, 0ul or Reocl - ond check oul lhe
coaching notes.
3. Tap Get Started in the app and select the position in which youre wearing
the X_CELL (chest strap or waist clip).

2.4 Training with X_CELL as a Heart Rate Monitor
Poired wilh lhe mi0ooch mobile opp, your X0FLL con olso be used os o Heorl
Rate Monitor only.
1. 0lip your X0FLL onlo lhe Texlile Slrop, ensuring lhe sensors on lhe bock
of lhe slrop ore moislened. Weor lhe slrop lighlly on your lorso, wilh lhe
X0FLL cenlred ond lhe odidos logo focing up lfor deloils, see seclion 1.3I.
2. Poir your X0FLL wilh lhe mi0ooch mobile opp. You only need lo poir your
X0FLL wilh lhe mi0ooch mobile opp once. n lhe opp, go lo Sellings ~
Sensors, press lhe on/off bullon on lhe X0FLL ond odd your X0FLL os
a Heart Rate Monitor.
3. Make sure the X_CELL is within 0.5 meters of your smartphone. To collect
oll your heorl role dolo, moke sure you`re corrying your phone while you
work out.
Note:
The mi0oach X_0ELL used as a standard Heart Rate Monitor is compatible with
all Bluetooth

Smart Ready devices.

2.5 Logging out of the miCoach multi-sport app
f you wonl lo delele oll of your dolo on your opp ond log oul, go lo your profle
page.
Please note:
Before logging out of the app, be sure to rst sync your data. When you log out
of the app, this will reset the miCoach multi-sport app back to factory settings.
This means you will lose any data that has not been synced yet and is stored
only on your phone.

4. Care and Maintenance
1. Unsnap the miCoach X_CELL from the Textile Strap and carefully remove the
miCoach X_CELL: pulling it straight off is recommended. Failure to remove
the miCoach X_CELL from the strap may result in corrosion of the connectors
and deteriorated performance.
2. Store the miCoach X_CELL and Textile Strap in a dry place. If the miCoach
X0FLL or lhe Texlile Slrop comes inlo conlocl wilh o domp surfoce, such
os o lowel, il moy remoin oclivoled ond run down lhe bollery.
3. Rinse the strap under clean water to prolong the life of the strap and
ensure the best performance. Hang to dry. The Textile Strap is hand wash
only. Don`l iron, wring, dry cleon, or lumble dry.
4. The miCoach X_CELL is water-resistant up to 10 m (33 ft). We dont
encourage you to submerge the device in water. Swim use isnt supported.
5. The on/off button of the miCoach X_CELL should be pushed with a nger
and not with a hard object such as a pen or wire.
3. The miCoach X_CELL Battery
The miCoach X_CELL battery should last for over 5 months in active mode and
18 monlhs in inoclive mode. This is equol lo 15D hours of oclive life l5 monlhs
of one hour per day usage at 20 C). The X_CELL uses a CR2032 coin cell
battery commonly used for cameras and watches. It can be purchased at most
electronic stores.
Note:
You can also use a 0R2032H coin battery, which has a longer battery liIe.
Replacing the X_CELL battery
1. Ploce lhe mi0ooch X0FLL on o cleon, fol surfoce.
2. Use a coin to turn the back cover to the left and remove the battery door.
3. Remove the old battery.
/. nserl lhe new 0R2D32 bollery, ensuring lhe - sign on lhe bollery is focing
toward you.
5. Close the back cover by turning it to the right and aligning the two green dots.
Note:
The battery level is displayed in the multi-sport app under 5ettings > 5ensors.
I the battery level is below 20 %, you`ll be notied during pairing and syncing.
We recommend you to keep a second battery on hand, just in case.
