This is a primary source because it is an original story by a parent of a child with a disability. I learned
a lot about what parents and children without disabilities feel about inclusive education.

This is a primary source because it is written as a summary of the disability protection laws by the
same organization which had a hand in writing the law in the first place. They are summarizing their
own words, making this source primary. From this article I learned much about providing services to
children with disabilities.

Education.
This is a primary source because it was written by the U.S. Department of Education as an
informational report about IDEA and other disability laws. They are simple giving more information
about the law they wrote, elaborating upon it, therefore making this source primary. From this report
I learned much about the consultation process and private and public special education.

This is a primary source because it is a summary of the hopes and goals of IDEA in the upcoming years.
It is primary because the U.S. Department of Education is further elaborating on the goals they wish to
accomplish through IDEA, a law which they had a hand in writing. From this source, I learned about
the potential of IDEA in the future and how it can further equality in schools for students with
disabilities.

U.S. Department of Justice . 2009. A Guide to Disability Rights Laws. U.S. Department of Justice.
This is a primary source because it was written by the government as a guide to the laws of IDEA, laws
which they wrote themselves. They are simplifying their words so the general public can understand
IDEA. From this resource I learned about what IDEA requires for each child with a disability.

This is a primary source because it is a firsthand account of parents and their daughter who had
disabilities and their experience with inclusive education. From this article, I learned much about how
children with disabilities and their families feel about inclusive education.

information about the life Amy led and contains quotes from Amy and her family. From this article, I
learned about the first IDEA lawsuit to reach the Supreme Court, and gained insight into Amy
Rowley's life.

budget cuts state by state in America. From this source, I saw very clearly the effects of budget cuts
everywhere and how many peoples lives would be changed because of them.
