BRICK A 94-year-old woman re-
mained hospitalized in critical condition
Monday after police say she was brutally
beaten by her granddaughter inside her
Lions Head North senior community
home.
Neighbors identified Mary Francis
Driscoll as the woman who was found
semiconscious on a bed Sunday morning
inside her home at 93 Courtshire Drive
the home community residents said
Driscoll lived for more than a decade.
Property and voting records also indi-
cate that the home is owned and occu-
pied by Mary Driscoll, 94.
Driscolls granddaughter Katherine
Schubert, 37, was found inside the house,
intoxicated and sitting in the kitchen, ac-
cording to a statement by Al Della Fave,
a spokesman for the Ocean County Pros-
ecutors Office.
Driscoll suffered multiple injuries
from the beating, which included bleed-
ing in the brain, bloodshot eyes and mul-
tiple cuts and bruises. Driscoll was taken
to the trauma center at Jersey Shore Uni-
versity Medical Center in Neptune
