Together with this document the following documents are used: ITP - Inspection and Test Plan : Quality Inspections en Tests CS - Coating Systems : All coating systems with the DFT's, colors and other information 2 Scope This procedure describes the application of the corrossion protection system. 3 Project Organisation The project is managed by the site-manager who is responsible for all activities on the yard. For the organogram and responsibilities and personnel see attachements. 4 Procedures and specifications PSP - Project Specific Procedure : This document ITP - Inspection and Test Plan : Quality Inspections en Tests CS - Coating Systems : All coating systems with the DFT's, colors and other information 5 Health, Safety and Environment DCS will do their utmost to ensure that all activities will be done in such a way that no harm can come to the people working on the project, nor to the environment. To ensure this a project HSE plan has been prepared in which in detail is described how DCS has organised this. We are VCA* 2008/5.1 certified and therefore all working procedures and workinstructions are noted in our Quality Handbook. All activities performed by our personnel are done according to these procedures and instructions. All our procedures and instructions can be read in our handbook which is available at our site-office. 6 Quality Assurance and Quality Control Since a high standard of quality is allways our goal, we will make sure that on this project everything is done according to the required specifications as well as our own quality standards which ever are higher. This way we will not damage the blast profile. CO2 pallets are propelled with compressed air onto the surface and remove all dirt, grease and rust. The CO2 vaporizes and no waste material is left. 1)Damaged Toplayer Surface to be repaired should be clean, dry and free from any contamination. Prior to paintapplication the surface should be assessed and treated in accordance with following procedure: -Solvent cleaning to SSPC-SP1 of the damaged area -Roughening up by means of sandpapering -Adjacent area (an overlap of 5 cm) of existing paint to be roughened = cutback surrounding existing paint by means of sandpapering -Removal of dust -Application of Toplayer shall be such that the whole roughened area, including an overlap of 5 cm on the existing roughened paint, shall be painted

Surface to be repaired should be clean, dry and free from any contamination. Dong Hejre Pre-Drilling Deck (Powertoolcleaning shall only be executed after approval of Heerema) -Feather edging without leaving sharp edges on the existing paint -Adjacent area (an overlap of 5 cm) of existing paint to be roughened = feathering surrounding existing paint by means of sandpapering -Removal of dust -Application of system as specified, with the exception of the primer for which a different primer suitable for powertooled surfaces will be determined, shall be such that the whole powertooled area, including an overlap of 5 cm on the existing roughened paint, shall be painted 9 Surface cleanliness All blast cleaned surfaces shall be subject to a 100% visual inspection to determine if the requested cleanliness and anchor profile has been achieved prior to coating application. All surfaces are to be free from dust, grit, and any contaminates likely to jeopardize coating performance. Random cleanliness checks are to be conducted. 10 Inspection equipment For the measurement of the temperature, relative humidity and steeltemperature a Digital Dewcheck will be used. For the measurement of the Dry Film Thickness a digital DFT meter will be used. This equipment is calibrated in accordance with company procedures , frequency once per year and has clear identification of calibration status, and unique identification. 11 Documentation All activities will be logged in the computerized QC information system. There are two possible reports which can be printed with the entered data. One is a daily report which shows all activities sorted per location. The other report is an item report which shows all activities per treated item sorted by date. Examples of these two reports are attached. 12 Final inspection All items shall be subject to a final inspection to ensure that compliance with this document has been adhered to prior to release.
