Detecting contaminants by HFLC
ln addition to classical contamination monitoring methods (gravimetric, microscopic,
colorimetric, chromatographic separation methods, such as high per!ormance liquid
chromatography (HFLC, have become popular in industrial C testing. HFLC is very sensitive,
quantitative, accommodating o! sample reactivity or volatility, and compatible with high
throughput analysis.
Use Millipore's Millex syringe lters to prepare 1 to 100 mL o! aqueous and mild organic
samples and mobile phases prior to HFLC or other sensitive analysis methods. Millex lters
minimize column clogging and have low extractables, low binding, and low hold-up volumes.
