ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The department of Mechanical Engineering, S.K.P. Engineering College, is
organizing an international conference on "Design and Advances in Mechanical
Engineering." Emerging trends of new technologies in the scenario of globalization
and modernization, the computer aided engineering and simulation tools for
solving mechanical Engineering problems at various levels starting from material
design to complex manufacturing system is inevitable. In this context, this
conference will provide a platform in expressing application trends, progress and
future course of computer aided engineering & simulation in Mechanical
Engineering. The Conference will include plenary sessions, keynote lectures and
technical sessions.
SCOPE AND THEME OF THE CONFERENCE
The aim of this conference is to provide an interdisciplinary forum for engineers,
researchers and student technocrats to discuss and promote research and
technology transfer of design and advances in Mechanical Engineering.
The conference focuses on fundamental research and computational tool related to
design and advances in Mechanical Engineering. And this comes at an appropriate
time when the whole world is moving towards innovation. The objective of
ICDAAME-2011 is to establish an effective channel of communication among those
in academia, industry and others concerned with computer application in
mechanical engineering researches like innovative and intelligent design of
engineering products, processes, materials, mechanisms and other advanced
systems. It is hoped that at the end of the conference there will be possible solutions
and conclusions on the challenges emerging out of the theme.

CALL FOR PAPERS
Authors are required to send a soft copy of the extended abstract of original and
unpublished research work through email to icdaame2011@gmail.com. The
extended abstract should be limited to two A4 size pages including text, figures,
tables and references. It should be in MS word or PDF format with 1.5 line spacing
(12 pt Times New Roman). The authors should mention their affiliation with
addresses, e-mail, telephone and fax numbers. Acceptance of the abstracts will be
communicated to the corresponding author (to be indicated in the abstract). Upon
acceptance, the authors have to submit the full paper as per the conference format
to be given later. The final acceptance of the paper for oral presentation, inclusion
in the proceedings or poster presentation will be based on peer review.
Maximum of 8-10 articles will be published as special issue in the following
journals IJMMM (International Journal of Manufacturing, Materials and
Mechanical Engineering, NOVAPublishers, USA), JMIM (Journal of Mechatronics
and Intelligent Manufacturing, NOVA Publishers, USA),JSM&RE
(Journal of Sustainable manufacturing & Renewable Energy, NOVA Publishers,
USA) and JMMT (Journal of Modern Manufacturing Technology), Serials

PARTICIPATION & REGISTRATION
Industries, R & D establishments, academic institutions are invited to participate in
the conference by presenting papers and deputing delegates. The participants are
requested to register on or before October 31, 2011. The registration fee includes
delegate kit, admission to all sessions, a set of conference materials (abstracts
volume, conference proceedings along with a souvenir), dinner, lunch and tea on
conference days.

ABOUT THE HOST INSTITUTION
S K P Engineering College is established in the year 1999 and is sponsored by
Sri.S.Kuppusaamy Educational Memorial trust with a noble aim of imparting
quality education for achieving the highest level of intellectual excellence through
innovative research consistently in the field of engineering in an around
Tiruvannamalai. It has now blossomed into offering U.G courses in ECE,EEE,
MECH, CIVIL, CSE, IT and P.G Courses in Applied electronics, VLSI, Power
systems, CSE, CAD/CAM and Management. The graduates of this institution have
an outstanding carrier in India and abroad. In the aim of promoting research
activities the college has established two Center of Excellence in Nano electronics
and Adanced design studies. And the faculties have several national and
international publications to their credit.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The department of mechanical engineering is established in 2003 and is endowed
with well qualified and experienced faculties who are committed to ensure the
achievement of outstanding performance. The department offers undergraduates
in Mechanical Engineering and post graduate in CAD/CAM. Acenter of excellence
in Advanced Design Studies has been established in the department aiming to
promote research activites Modern facilities are established with the state of the art
computers and software tools like CATIA, ADAMS, DELMIA, PRO-E, ANSYS,
NASTRAN, DYATRAN, PATRAN and SAMCEF to carry out modeling and
simulation studies.
TIRUVANNAMALAI THE CITY OF HOLINESS
The college is situated in a beautiful hillock in
Tiruvannamalai district. It is about 185 kms from
Chennai and 210 kms from Bangalore. It is also well
connected with train services to Katpadi, Chennai and
Tirupathi. The climatic condition of the town is
moderate and it is a pilgrimage temple city of
Tamilnadu. Tiruvannamalai is known for the
Annamalaiyar temple which is located at the foot of the Annamalai hill and one
amongst the greatest Shiva Temples of India. Sathanur Dam across Thenpennai
River is a tourist place near Tiruvannamalai.
