Operational Amplifier Fundamentals
Ideal Op-Amp, Virtual Ground Concept, Basic Op-Amp
Circuits, Op-Amp applications: current-to-voltage
converters, voltage-to-current converters, Difference
amplifier, Instrumentation amplifier, integrator,
differentiator.

Active Filters
Biquadratic Transfer Functions, Filter types, Standard
Responses, Sallen-Key Networks, Frequency and
Impedance Scaling, Gain Adjustments, Frequency
Transformations, State-variable configurations.
Week5
Practical Op-Amp Limitations
Simplified circuit diagram of op-amp input stage, input
bias and offset current, input offset voltage, voltage drift,
power supply rejection ratio, common-mode rejection
ratio, offset error compensation, frequency response,
transient response, slew rate, input and output
impedances, noise, stability, gain and phase margins,
frequency compensation.
