NZUSS developed an app called On The Clock (OTC) that basically plans out your calendar with efficeincy and effectiveness to address bad time management. OTC is perfect for university students that have bad time management. (Chareles Sturt University, 2014) implies Time management is critical for success in university , bad management is due to laziness of students which lead to severe effects like poor academic performances, therefore OTC address these problems through unique functions. 3. BUSINESS SECTION 3.1 Vision To Make Time Management Easy, Efficient and Free for University Students all over New Zealand. 3.2 Industry Analysis: Industry: NZUSS is a Time Planner tertiary Industry that focuses on adressesing Time management struggles that university students in New Zealand face. Force: High/ Low: Justification: Buyer power: High Not many University webistes allow app syncronizing for security reasons. It would be hard for buyers to find another app that operates similliar to this specific industries app, but buyer power is high because there are many types of planner apps available on internet for univerity students to choose from as shown on Google Play s website (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.caynax.timema nagement), or they could just decide to use planner apps already installed on their phones to avoid downloading other app.

Supplier power: High Supplier power is high because theres not many suppliers to choose from in this specific Time Planner industry, this industry is supported by tertiary institutes such as all Universities in New Zealand, this relates to how entry bariers is high in a tertiary industry because there is a large economic scale and government regulations required for suppliers joining the tertiary industry (Grey & Scott, 2014).
Threat of new entrants: High This industry has high entry barriers such as Government and Security regulations, it also takes a long time to reach the economic scale for resources (Wiki Answers, 2014), also tertiary industries in New Zealand will only distribute OTC app because to many similliar apps will be confusing for students. Threat of substitute s: High This Time planner tertiary industry developes an app that helps students manage their time. There are many alternative planners on internet that students can choose from by typing Time planners into the search engine https://www.google.co.nz/search?q=types+of+time+planner+apps&i e=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en- US:official&client=firefox-a&channel=sb&gfe_rd=cr&ei=r- uAU6HpEaiN8Qf7xICABw#channel=sb&q=+time+planner+apps&rls=o rg.mozilla:en-US:official ), or students might decide to use calenders or diaries rather than having to rely on internet. Rivalry among existing competito Low This specific Time Planner Tertiary Industry has low rivalry because it is partnered with all tertiary institutes in New Zealand limiting competition, OTC also has a competitive advantage (Hadley, Maluniu, n.d.) as it is the only time planner app available through

Overall attractiveness of the industry: Overall this Time Planner Tertiary industry is attractive due to its high entry barriers of Government Regulations and Economic scale, and Low rivalry of competitors because revalry was avoided by partnering with the other Universities in New Zealand that are in the Tertiary Industry. A factor that affects the attractiveness of the company is the compromise that this is a non-profit industry because its focus is to provide tertiary students with a solution to bad time management and not to generate profit. 3.3 Customers and Thei r Needs Our customers are each of the Universities in New Zealand. These universities need OTC app to be adaptable to each of their individual websites and specific designs, they need app to be constantly updateable and maintenenced to ensure OTC users content and notifications are up to date. Our main customer is New Zealand univerity students. They need the app to be easily understandable and usable, also need app to function all features with efficiency and effectiveness, app also needs to be constantly analysied so customer queries can be solved immediately. 3.4 The Product and Service OTC is able to adapt to the Universities in New Zealands Specifics and designs through advanced technology and support systems funded by the government. 5 3.5 Suppliers and Partners OTCs main supplier and partner is the Government, they provide the neccessary technology for development. Another supplier as well as partner is all Universities in New Zealand, they supply OTC with their own specifications and software that OTC app adapts to. Partnership with each of the Universities is neccessary because their students are our main customers, it also ensures security and safe access to each universities website.
3.6 Strategy: Differentiation OTC uses a diffrientiation strategy that focuses on low cost product for a specific market of only New Zealand Universities and their students. OTCs aim is to provide a free good quality time planner app. OTC has a competitive advantage as it is the only app distibuted through Each University in New Zealand beause there are many government regulations involved with tertiary institutes (Tertiary Education Commision, March 6 2014). The overall strategy is therefore Diffrentiation for a Specific market
