SkyBIM is a powerful real-time cost estimating solution for Autodesk Revit. Automated quantity takeoffs are as
easy as clicking a button. And since estimates are securely hosted in the cloud, multiple members of the
project team can simultaneously collaborate on an estimate. Whether you are the architect, estimator,
contractor or owner - you can view a projects latest takeoff quantities, edit product costs, create construction
assemblies and print reports.

SkyBIM can provide massive automation in the real-time management
and cost estimating of chain stores. Once we have configured and
costed one store, the rest are essentially automatic. If you are involved
with Revit projects that are chain-store based (Subway, Chipotle,
Starbucks, WalMart, Woolworths, McDonald's, etc) or have a high
degree of repetition, please contact marek@skybim.com
Capturing Building Lifecycle
SkyBIM is a cloud-based platform to host all the
information collected throughout a building's
lifecycle to optimise the way buildings are
designed, costed, constructed, and managed.
Automatic Quantity Takeoff
With SkyBIM, automated quantity takeoffs are
as easy as clicking a button. Simply hit the
'Takeoff' button to view the project's latest
estimate. It's as effortless as that. By
automating the tedious task of quantifying,
SkyBIM frees the estimating teamto focus on
Easy-to-Use Interface
SkyBIM provides a full WYSIWYG (What You See
Is What You Get) environment to view and edit your
estimates. This easy-to-use interface allows you to
interact with an estimate exactly as it would appear
printed.
Cloud-Based Collaboration
Collaborating on cost estimates just got a whole lot
easier. From anywhere around the globe, multiple
members of the project team can simultaneously
access estimates hosted on SkyBIM's web server.
Whether you are the architect, estimator, contractor
or owner - you can view a project's latest takeoff
quantities, edit product costs, create construction
assemblies and print estimate reports.

Estimate Sooner
Start estimating much earlier in the design
process and avoid the painful cost-cutting
exercises that frequently plague many projects.
SkyBIMs fast, accurate quantity takeoffs, helps
you minimize risk, reduce delivery times and
save costs down the line.
Estimate as a Standard Deliverable
Architects typically do not provide cost
estimates on projects as part of their standard
services, but the ability of SkyBIM to generate
real-time estimates will change the nature of
project deliverables for all participants.
Projects Learn from Each Other
SkyBIM estimates can learn from each other. All
cost data including construction assemblies and
labor crews can be intelligently transferred
between projects. This means as more projects
are costed, each new project becomes
progressively quicker and easier to cost.
Furthermore the estimating of similarly styled
projects can be accelerated to the point where it
is fully automatic.
Revit Interoperability
SkyBIM estimates are able to interact directly
with the Revit model, allowing the estimator to
cross-check elements between the estimate and
the model. For example, you can select items in
the estimate and highlight their corresponding
elements in the model. Alternately, you can
hover your cursor over elements in the Revit
model to dynamically inspect their takeoff
quantities, costs and other estimate properties.
Bi-directional Data Exchange
All changes in the Revit model are automatically
reflected in the estimate. Furthermore, any
changes made to the estimate can also be
transferred to the Revit Model.
Craftsman Costbooks
Search a selection of Craftsman costbooks for
products and ingredients to add to your estimate.
Craftsman costbooks are published for the United
States market and cover labor and material costs for
all the major construction trades and specialties.
Complex Construction Assemblies
In SkyBIM, products can be represented by
complex multi-ingredient construction assemblies in
order to provide detailed cost breakdowns. For
example, a door assembly can consume a door, a
lockset and hardware. A wall assembly can
consume masonry, plaster and a finish.
Labor Crews
Optionally determine a product's labor cost by
assigning a labor crew and installation time to a
product. A crew can comprise one or more
craftsman, each of whom is given an hourly rate.
Installation time is the estimated time that it would
take the crew to complete one unit of the product.
Powerful Filtering
SkyBIM supports Revit Design Options, Phases and
Levels - enabling you to produce estimates that are
filtered by these parameters.
and PNG.
Excel Price List Integration
SkyBIM can work directly with your company's Excel
price lists, allowing you to add your own cost items
to a SkyBIM estimate. This integration with Excel
allows you to utilise your existing Excel price lists
and even update them further if you wish.
Non-Model Cost Items
There are many items in an estimate that are never
represented in the BIM model. SkyBIM allows you to
add non-model cost items to your estimates.
Request Pricing from Suppliers
Request pricing and product information from one or
more suppliers. At any stage, you can integrate a
selected supplier's pricing into your estimate.
Markup/Margin
Markup/margin percentage can either be applied
globally to the estimate or by individual product.
Add Products to your Website
SkyBIM products can be embedded in your website,
enabling SkyBIM users who browse your website to
incorporate your products into their estimates.
Multiple Report Classifications
You can view your estimates classified in a variety of
different formats, including UniFormat, MasterFormat,
OmniClass, Keynote, Manufacturer and Alphabetical.

What is unique about SkyBIM is that all the "real-time" BIM data is securely hosted in the cloud, allowing anywhere, anytime collaboration. For example, here is
a live fully-editable link (ht t p://bit .ly/ex6iah) to an interior wall in an sample SkyBIM estimate, that allows you to:
Edit a product's costs
Edit and manage a product's assembly
Invite 'suppliers' to provide pricing
Assign a long description to the product
Assign a labor crew to a product
Find products in SkyBIM to add as ingredients to the product's assembly
Find Craftsman products in SkyBIM to add as ingredients to the product's assembly
View products that have been bookmarked
Modify a product's classifications
Assign a manufacturer to a product
View the product's Revit based specifications
Invite people to collaborate in the editing of this product
SkyBIM's cloud platform is easily extendable and can be integrated with other BIM applications.

SkyBIM Projects provides a full suite of quantity surveying and project management services, including but not limited to Cost Estimates, Bills of Quantities,
J BCC Contract Documentation, Progress Valuations, Payment Certificates, Project Cost Control and Final Accounts.
On larger projects, SkyBIM Projects can act as a BIM Technology Consultant to other QS firms. This partnership can be structured to train other QS firms to
ultimately provide their own set of SkyBIM related services.
SkyBIM Projects supports the principle of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD). This approach to project delivery integrates all team members - owner, architect,
engineer, quantity surveyor, project manager and contractor - to form a collaborative effort in order to maximise efficiency throughout the life cycle of the
project.
