Dalam penelitian ini, metode bercerita digunakan untuk mencari tahu apakah metode ini dapat membantu para guru untuk mengajar berbicara anak pada usia dini dan jika para siswa juga memperoleh keuntungan dari metode ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain satu kelompok pre-test pos-ttest yang diikutsertakan dalam penelitian eksperimental. Subjek penelitian ini adalah sepuluh siswa lima dari le!el bahasa Inggris tertinggi dan lima dari le!el bahasa Inggris terendah" dari kelas #$ di Sekolah Dasar Permai. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam delapan jam pelajaran %&' menit dari bulan $pril sampai awal bulan Mei (')(. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan pre-test, post-test, hasil rekaman, dan skrip dari hasil rekaman berbicara para siswa.
