INTRODUCTORY RITES

[stand]
Entrance Procession:
Today we find ourselves rejoicing for having accomplished the first phase in our life. For the past six years we
were under the shelter of our beloved school, T. Aviles Elementary School. Truly our hearts are bursting with joy
and gratitude to our God for these experiences. To express our gratitude, let us welcome our Celebrant, Rev. Fr.
Elmo Borgueta. Please all stand for the opening hymn.
HERE I AM LORD
I. I , the Lord of sea and skies, I have heard my people cry
All who dwell in dark and sin, My hand will save.
I who made the stars, I will make the darkness bright.
Who will bear my light to them? Whom shall I send?

Chorus:
Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go Lord, If you lead me,
I will hold your people in my heart.

II. I , the Lord of wind and flame, I will save the poor and the lame
I will set a feast for them, My hand will save.
Finest bread I will provide, till their hearts be satisfied
I will give my life to them, Whom shall I send?
( REPEAT CHORUS )
Greeting:
Priest: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
All: Amen.
Priest: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you
all.
All: And with your spirit.
Priest: As we prepare to celebrate the mystery of Christ's love, let us acknowledge our failures and ask the Lord
for pardon and strength.

All:
I confess to almighty God, and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have greatly sinned
in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done, and in what I have failed to do, through my fault, through
my fault, through my most grievous fault; therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin,
all the Angels and Saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God.
Priest: May almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life.
All: Amen.
Kyrie:
Lord Have mercy on us, come and heal our land
Cleanse with your fire, heal with your touch,
Humbly we bow and call upon you now,
Oh Lord have mercy on us, Oh Lord have mercy on us.
Opening Prayer:
Priest: Let us pray. Father of mercy, hear the prayers of your repentant children who call on you in love. Enlighten
our minds and sanctify our hearts. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with
you and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever.

All: Amen.

LITURGY OF THE WORD
Reading 1IS 65:17-21
Thus says the LORD: Lo, I am about to create new heavens and a new earth; The things of the past shall not be
remembered or come to mind. Instead, there shall always be rejoicing and happiness in what I create; For I
create Jerusalem to be a joy and its people to be a delight; I will rejoice in Jerusalem and exult in my people. No
longer shall the sound of weeping be heard there, or the sound of crying; No longer shall there be in it an infant
who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not round out his full lifetime; He dies a mere youth who
reaches but a hundred years, and he who fails of a hundred shall be thought accursed. They shall live in the
houses they build, and eat the fruit of the vineyards they plant.

Responsorial Psalm PS 30: 2 AND 4, 5-6, 11-12A AND 13B
R. (2a) I will praise you, Lord, for you have rescued me.
I will extol you, O LORD, for you drew me clear and did not let my enemies rejoice over me. O LORD, you brought
me up from the nether world; you preserved me from among those going down into the pit.

R. I will praise you, Lord, for you have rescued me.
Sing praise to the LORD, you his faithful ones, and give thanks to his holy name. For his anger lasts but a
moment; a lifetime, his good will. At nightfall, weeping enters in, but with the dawn, rejoicing.

R. I will praise you, Lord, for you have rescued me.
Hear, O LORD, and have pity on me; O LORD, be my helper. You changed my mourning into dancing;
O LORD, my God, forever will I give you thanks.

R. I will praise you, Lord, for you have rescued me.
Lector: Please all rise to honor the holy Gospel

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION
Speak Lord, I love to listen to your word,
See Lord, Here I am.
Speak Lord, I love to listen to your word,
See Lord, Here I am.
Gospel:

Deacon (or Priest): The Lord be with you.
All: And with your spirit.

Deacon (or Priest): A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John

All: Glory to you, O, Lord!

Gospel JN 4:43-54
At that time Jesus left [Samaria] for Galilee. For Jesus himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his native
place. When he came into Galilee, the Galileans welcomed him, since they had seen all he had done in
Jerusalem at the feast; for they themselves had gone to the feast.

Then he returned to Cana in Galilee, where he had made the water wine. Now there was a royal official whose
son was ill in Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and asked
him to come down and heal his son, who was near death. Jesus said to him, Unless you people see signs and
wonders, you will not believe. The royal official said to him, Sir, come down before my child dies. Jesus said to
him, You may go; your son will live. The man believed what Jesus said to him and left. While the man was on his
way back, his slaves met him and told him that his boy would live.
He asked them when he began to recover. They told him, The fever left him yesterday, about one in the
afternoon. The father realized that just at that time Jesus had said to him, Your son will live, and he and his
whole household came to believe. Now this was the second sign Jesus did when he came to Galilee from Judea.

Deacon (or Priest): The Gospel of the Lord.

Homily:
Profession of Faith:
APOSTLES' CREED:
I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under
Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the
Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to
judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of
life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adoredand glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one
baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to
come. Amen.

He came to save human kind by becoming a man himself. The Virgin Mary, receiving the angels
message in faith, conceived by the power of the Spirit and bore your Son in purest love.

In Christ, the eternal youth, your promise to Israel came true. In Christ, the hope of all peoples, mans
hope was realized beyond all expectation.

Through Christ, the angels of heaven offer their prayer of adoration as they rejoice in your presence
forever. May our voices be one with theirs in their triumphant hymn of praise.

Holy, Holy (Sanctus):
Holy Holy Holy, My Lord and my God,
Power and might and glory are yours heaven and earth,
Hossana in the highest,
He is blessed in the name of the Lord,
Hossana Hossana Hossana in the highest.

Commentator: Please all kneel.

Priest: Lord, you are holy indeed, the fountain of all holiness. Let your Spirit come upon these gifts to make them
holy, so that they may become for us the body and blood of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Before he was given up to
death, a death he freely accepted, he took bread and gave you thanks and praise. He broke the bread, gave it to
his disciples and said: Take this all of you, and eat it, this is my body which will be given up for you.

When supper was ended, he took the cup. Again he gave you thanks and praise, gave the cup to his
disciples and said: Take this all of you and drink from it, this is the cup of my blood, the blood of the new and
everlasting covenant. It will be shed for you and for all so that sins may be forgiven. Do this in memory of me.

Let us proclaim the Mystery of faith.

Commentator: Please all stand.

Memorial Acclamation:

We proclaim your death, O Lord,
and profess your Resurrection until you come again.

Priest: In memory of his death and resurrection, we offer you father this life-giving bread, this saving cup. We
thank you for counting us worthy to stand in your presence and serve you. May all of us who share in the body
and blood of Christ be brought together in unity by the Holy Spirit.

Lord remember your church throughout the world, make us grow in love together with Pope Benedict XVI,
Jose Palma our archbishop and all the clergy.

Remember our brothers and sisters who have gone to their rest in the hope of rising again. Bring them
and all the departed into the light of your presence. Have mercy on us Lord, make us worthy to share eternal
life with Mary, the Virgin Mother of God, with the Apostles, and with all the saints who have done your will
throughout the ages. May we praise you in union with them and give you glory through your Son, Jesus Christ.

Through Him, with Him, and in Him, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor is yours Almighty
Father, forever and ever.

Great Amen:
Amen, amen, Aaaaaaamen
