Every time you notice your trigger stop and use a breathe
prayer, prayer for a specific person, and or say a verse from
Psalms (it is sometimes good to write the verse on a 3x5 card
and keep it with you throughout the day)

Dear Jesus, as I call on you today I realize that I often come

Reflection
How am I really feeling? Lighthearted? Heavy-hearted? I may be
very much at peace, happy to be here. Equally, I may be
frustrated, worried or angry. I acknowledge how I really am and
that God loves me just as I am.
Scripture: Luke 18:35-43
As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the
roadside begging. 36When he heard the crowd going by, he asked
what was happening. 37They told him, "Jesus of Nazareth is

passing by." He called out, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy

on me!" Those who led the way rebuked him and told him to be
quiet, but he shouted all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on

me!" Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him.
When he came near, Jesus asked him, 41"What do you want me to
do for you?" "Lord, I want to see," he replied. 42Jesus said to him,
"Receive your sight; your faith has healed you." 43Immediately he
received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the
people saw it, they also praised God.

What feelings are rising in me as I pray and reflect on God's
Word? Imagine Jesus himself sitting or standing near you and
open your heart to him

 Confession
Call to Confession:
The proof of God’s amazing love is this: while we were still sinners
Christ died for us. Because we have faith in him, we dare to
approach God with confidence (taken from Romans 5:8 and
Hebrews 4:16). In humility and faith, take some time to confess
your sins to God (You may use the prayer written below or simply
admit to God your short-comings or wrongs)
Prayer:
Lord I confess the times
When I am convinced of being right,
and when I am afraid to be right.
When I keep to minding my own business,
and neglect what you have asked of me.
When I refuse to ask for help,
and when I refuse to even try.
When I love myself too much,
and when I do not love myself enough.
When I give into my temptations,

When I fail to forgive others,
and when I fail to forgive myself.
Forgive us for all this and more. AMEN.
Assurance of Forgiveness
God is sheer mercy and grace; not easily angered, he's rich in love.
He doesn't endlessly nag and scold, nor hold grudges forever. He
doesn't treat us as our sins deserve, nor pay us back in full for our
wrongs. As high as heaven is over the earth, so strong is his love to
those who fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he
removed our sins from us.Psalm 103
Jesus Christ died for our sins, not to satisfy an angry God but to
reach out with unending love to a stubborn and selfish people. We
are those people. Let the power of those words sink into you, and be
comforted. Your sins are forgiven!
Praying the Names of God
How to start:
Simply begin your prayer by saying, “Dear Lord, you
are…” and then insert one of the names of God. For
example, say, “Dear Lord, you are Jehovah Heleyon – the
Lord Most High; you are above all the stuff in my life and
in the word; you are… (then describe the stuff God is
above). Then move on to another name for God.
