(API Exam Preparation Training) Course Introduction: API 580 Supplemental Inspection Certication program is designed to train inspectors on Risk-Based Inspection (RBI). The program is based on API RP 580, 2nd Edition, published November 2009, which is applicable to all inspectors in the petroleum/petrochemical industry. Course Description The objective of this program is to provide inspectors with advanced (above the basic core API 510, 570 & 653 certications) knowledge and skills in Risk-Based Inspection based on the infor mation contained in API RP 580. An API Supplemental Inspection Certication is dened as Documentation that indicates that minimum requirements have been met for additional qualication in the designated area of expertise. This would include an API issued letter, certicate, and a wallet card. This certicate adds signicant value to ones professional credentials. It shows employers and clients a high level of prociency and understanding in the eld. The supplemental inspection certication program is open to anyone who is currently certied to API 510, 570 or 653. Included with the course is a pre-study guide and student classroom workbook. The student receives instruction on how to take the test and gains insight into the applications of RBI in real world situations. Daily tests are designed to gauge students prociency and understanding of the material. Note: This does not register you for the API exam.
