INTERNATIONAL IS OUR VOCATION
The world is diverse, and interconnected in its ethnicities, geo-
politics, geo-economics, innovation mechanisms, and wealth dis-
tribution models. As well as being diverse in its resources, beliefs
and ideologies. The 20
th
century established world centers of gra-
vity, in terms of politics, business, finance, and political influence
are tilting.
Emerging economies have surpassed the point of ascension, they
are now on their way of shaping the new world order. The G8 is
no longer relevant, for the G20 has come into force. This is the
world we live in and it is our duty to make it successful, by making
socially responsible business and management decisions.
This is the reason why we see interactions between nations,
ethnicities, cultures, systems, models, ideologies, as a gift for
there are a wealth of opportunities to leverage from.

MBA IN ARTISTIC
MBA IN ARTISTIC & CULTURAL ACTIVITIES MANAGEMENT / 22
& CULTURAL
ACTIVITIES
Paris has always been at the forefront of
the world in terms of artistic and cultural
activities, some of the fastest growing
economic sectors today. At the Paris School
of Business, we are offering students a
unique opportunity to obtain an MBA,
specialized in Artistic & Cultural Activities
Management, in partnership with IESA,
(one of the most reputable arts schools in
Europe) in the cultural capital of the
world. There is no better place than Paris
to study abroad and receive this degree.
MANAGEMENT
The Capital City of France has long enjoyed a fully-deserved reputation as heavens
gate to a myriad of astounding museums, galleries, monuments, and castles such as
Le Louvre and Versailles. In addition to historical monuments including La Bastille and
the Eiffel Tower and more recent attractions such as the Pompidou Center or la Cit des
Sciences and many more. It has often been said that a year is not enough to explore all of
the arts and culture The City of Lights has to offer.
Paris is also known for its paintings, opera, performing and contemporary arts, and cinema,
the earliest film makers the Lumire brothers were French. And with names such as Vol-
taire, Hugo, Dumas, and Camus, it is not surprising to learn that Paris has received the
most Nobel Prizes in literature in the world.
PROGRAM CONTENT
Our program sharply contrasts with other academic institutions with its highly motivated
will to combine a constructive and practical nature of teaching with history and theory,
rooted in a multi-cultural and dynamic core which offers multiple clusters of cultural pro-
ducts including multimedia, movies, music, design and style, offering students an expe-
rience which can only be found in Paris.
Our motto is hands-on, giving our students the opportunity to acquire knowledge through
experience. Learning from life and reality is the marker and criterion of our teaching pro-
cess. The challenge is to interconnect methodology with fact and fieldwork, theory with
practice, art history with creation and production. All of our professors are professionals
and major players on the global artistic and cultural scene, particularly in Paris. They are
popular and well known art critics, curators, historians, etc. Our creative faculty, are one
of the key components of the program.
The curriculum is based on two trimesters of intensive foundations, concluding with a final
semester in which students choose a specialization. There are eight interdisciplinary mo-
dules at the specialization phase, all of which are professional tracks. Each track aims to
stress the specific interconnections between artists, sponsors, dealers, collectors, private
galleries, public museums, institutions, auction houses, art schools, critics and journalists.
BEYOND THE DEGREE
Workshops, lectures, study cases, visits to galleries, museums, studios, combined with
meetings with artists and professionals make the program complete, allowing students to
have discussions and vivid debates about their own practices while gaining experience. A
key value at the Paris School of Business is employability, the specializations offered by
the MBA in Artistic & Cultural Activities are geared to position students for the job market.
Students in this program can go on to work in arts commerce, theater direction, curation,
exhibition management, films, and event planning to name a few.

CONSUMERISM & SPECULATION
Arts as a form of main consumerism: the consumption patterns and
trends in this market. How arts serves as a speculative instrument
for cost management in turbulent economic times.
SYMBOLIC MEANINGS OF PRICES ON THE MARKET
OF CONTEMPORARY ART
How do French or Anglo-Saxon dealers price contemporary art in a
world where objective criteria seems absent? Consequently, the price
mechanism can structure different symbolic systems, speculation
on novelty or judgement of history?
FRENCH STYLE MOVIE PRODUCTION, VIDEO & VIDEO GAMES
Focus on French film directors and producers and video game art
directors (i.e. Raphal Lacoste, awarded for Prince of Persia: The
Sands of Time, Dark Earth Ps2 and Highlander online).
FRENCH STYLE MUSIC PRODUCTION, GIGS & DJS
For some years now, the French music scene has been booming
and productive and now worldwide famous. Jean-Michel Jarre has
been followed by Bob Sinclar, Martin Solveig, David Guetta as well
as Daft Punk, Cassius and later Stardust with videos directed by
the likes of Spike Jonze or Michel Gondry. French rap and R&B will
also be a focus.
ARCHITECTURE AND URBANISM, CASTLES AND TOWN HOUSES
Paris is a city in perpetual evolution where tradition and modernity
have always been interconnected. Paris is the city where history and
future meet. Where else can you find buildings like the Pyramide du
Louvre (Ming Pei architect), Colonnes de Buren, new Opra Bastille
or new MuseBranly dedicated to the Primal Arts, all with a backdrop
of the Loire Valley Castles.

Governance & Sustainability Research
The Paris School of Business interdisciplinary BBA & MBA pro-
grams were able to provide me with the tools and frame of refe-
rence needed to be successful outside of the classroom setting.
It helped pull together finance, accounting, marketing and ope-
rations knowledge into a coherent picture of how business ope-
rates. It also encourages professionalism and critical decision
making skills that are essential when working with real clients
on real issues.
The learning environment with instructors that have an excellent
background in their field of study was really motivating and made
the dialogue and exchanges between us more productive and
one of mutual interest. Last but not least, the different activities
organized by the school were very thoughtful and much appre-

INFORMATION
In the Fall of 2010, we opened up a brand-
new campus in the heart of Paris located
near the historic Paris neighborhood, Na-
tion. The new classrooms are equipped
with the highest standard of information
technology, as well as a wireless Internet
connection for the teachers and the stu-
dents. Always implementing the newest
teaching methods, such as E-learning, we
assure that our lectures continuously meet
the highest international standards.
