High Drop Call Rate Due to Hardware Problem in BS60

There is a site in inner city of Semarang, Mendoho ( BSM01D:37 ) . That site have a bad
high drop call and setup failure rate performance in 3rd sector from 22nd November 2001. It can
be seen in figure 1 below

If we see parameter in number lost radio link TCH cause in Batrana, we found that the
failure which happens the most is Remote Transcoder Failure up to 92%. It can be seen on

Connection Failure. Base on Output Manual BSC, we can identify problem cause, pcma time
slot, cell, trx, channel, and subchannel for every error connection in alarm measurement. It
shown in table 2 below

Base on database creation, Mendoho 3rd sector is BTS:37. That is means site Mendoho 3 rd
sector ( BTS:37 ) on TRX:1 and timeslot 2 had a permanent problem.

Base on error description above, on 8th January 2002, we change BBSIG module on
BTS:37 / TRX:1 and dropped call decrease as shown in picture below

From table 3 and picture 6,7,8 above, it shown there is no radio link loss because remote
trancoder failure since 8th January 2002. And the dropped call become normal again around
1.5% for DCR and SFR
