The Dream
We live in a convincing dream
The world we seem to live in is like a dream ... a fiction. And therein lies a key concept
if we are to fully progress with Optimal EFT. To access that magnificent World Beyond
Our Senses we must at least e open to the possiility that our senses are deceiving us
and thus hiding this far grander reality from our awareness. Our senses report a world
filled with pain! pleasure! usiness! politics and an unlimited numer of diversions... from
the Super Bowl in America to Tsunamis half way around the world. And yet! despite
how convincing it all seems! none of it is real. "t is a perpetual distraction machine ... a
spiritual error that is oscuring a #oyous reality where nothing e$ists e$cept %ove.
Evidence for the dream
For evidence of this dream! let&s go ack to Optimal EFT '' Essential "ntro where
(uantum )hysics tells us that this world we think we occupy doesn&t really e$ist. "t is an
illusion. There is no time! space nor separation. All atoms are connected within a grand
Oneness and we are part of that. There is only one of us. *There is no out there! out
there.*
+ememer that (uantum )hysics involves the intricate study of atoms! the ultimate
uilding locks of our odies and everything else we perceive in this world. As such! it
is literally the study of the physical foundation of our e$istence. Ama,ingly! it points
authoritatively to a reality that contradicts our senses and violates every elief we have
come to cherish. Thus a tree that you may see outside your window must e a mirage.
Since all atoms are connected! it is impossible for a group of atoms to separate from all
the rest of the atoms and form a separate tree. The same goes for odies! ugs! uildings
and everything else our senses detect. Separation cannot e. "t is impossile.
-
A .ourse "n /iracles echoes the same idea. "t says! "The world you see has nothing to
do with reality. It is of your own making, and it does not exist." See the Workook!
%esson -0.
This! of course! violates every elief we have. Our every sensory input *proves* the
world e$ists in that we convincingly see! hear! feel! smell and taste the *separate* things
of the world. And we do so 1023. And since our senses appear to e our only tangile
connection to *reality!* we have little choice ut to dutifully oey their dictates.
Or do we4
Fortunately! we also have a *si$th sense!* a knowing or intuition that there is more to our
e$istence than what our senses report. "t is that instinct that keeps you reading this and it
is that instinct that will eventually allow you to reali,e the enefits of Optimal EFT.
The fork in the road
So we are now at a fork in the road where we can either stay within the prison house of
our own sensory inputs ... O+ ... go the route of Optimal EFT and e$plore that World
Beyond Our Senses. What to do4 Which fork to take4
" fully understand if you choose to ignore our premiere scientists and leave us at this early
stage. "t is a it much to digest. 5owever! if you stay with us for awhile! you may find
some truth along this path. )erhaps a glimmer at first ut later to generate a full eye'
opening *A5A*6 Time will tell.
So let&s adopt the idea that we are having a dream ' a perceptual error ' and the world
doesn&t really e$ist. A .ourse "n /iracles has an interesting insight on this. "t draws from
our night time dreams for a comparison. See Te$t .hapter -7! Section "".
Does not a world that seems quite real arise in dreams? Yet think what this world is. It is
learly not the world you saw before you slept ... You do not find the differenes between
what you see in sleep and on awaking disturbing. You reogni!e that what you see on
waking is blotted out in dreams.
1
Think aout it. When you have a dream at night! isn&t reality as you know it violated
profusely. " mean one moment you are having lunch with a famous person and then! in
the ne$t moment! you are floating aove 8apan in a parachute. Only when we awaken
from this dream do we see the asurdity of it and say to ourselves! *Oh! it was #ust a
dream.* 5owever! while you are dreaming! don&t the e$periences seem very real4 9o
you even :uestion the reality of those events while they are happening in your dream4
/ost people don&t. "n fact! if we attached monitoring devices to our odies while
dreaming! we would detect sustantial changes in our hearteat! adrenalin flow and other
odily reactions. All these point to the seeming reality of our sleeping dream.
Are we dreaming now?
So it&s time to ask the :uestion! *Are we dreaming now4* .ould this world we are
e$periencing within our senses e nothing more than the dream to which (uantum
)hysics and A .ourse "n /iracles point4 And when we awaken! will we not look ack
on this dream and say! *Oh! it was #ust a dream4* " can give you an emphatic ;ES to
these :uestions ecause " have had a momentary awakening and! y comparison! this
world ecame a fiction ... a dream. See <ary&s +evelation in Optimal EFT '' Essential
"ntro. Our true reality is not contained within this illusionary world. +ather! its center is
in that e$:uisite state of %ove that e$ists in the World Beyond Our Senses.
"n summary! Optimal EFT adopts this notion that we are dreaming and its many tools and
ideas are designed to wake us up. Our various awakenings will unfold on an individual
asis. Some may wake up gradually or partially while others may do so in an instant
state of astonishment. .omplete and permanent awakenings! while possile! will likely
e rare. 5owever! any awakening! even if it is small! will color your world forever.
e'hugs! <ary
)S= /ore to come.
