washers
Small amount heavy black thread
24 inches pink -inch picot
ribbon
Stitch marker
Polyester fiberfill
Small amount black felt
Craft glue or hot-glue gun
GAUGE
3 sc = 1 inch; 3 sc rows = 1 inch

INSTRUCTIONS
HEAD & BODY
Rnd 1: Starting at Head, ch 2, 6 sc
in second ch from hook. (6 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around.
(12 sc)
Rnd 3: [Sc in next st, 2 sc in next
st] around. (18 sc)
Rnd 4: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 5: [Sc in each of next 2 sts, 2
sc in next st] around. (24 sc)
Rnds 6 & 7: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 8: [Sc in each of next 3 sts, 2
sc in next st] around. (30 sc)
Rnd 9: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 10: [Sc dec in next 2 sts (see
Crochet Basics), sc in each of next
3 sts] around. (24 sc)
Rnd 11: [Sc dec in next 2 sts, sc in

Side Fin (make 2)
Row 1: Ch 3, sc in second ch from
hook, 3 sc in last ch; working on
opposite side of ch, sc in next ch,
turn. (5 sc)
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in rst st, 2 sc
in each of next 3 sts, sc in last st,
turn. (8 sc)
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in rst st, 2 sc in
each of next 4 sts, sc in each of last
3 sts, turn. (12 sc)
Row 4: Ch 1, sc in each of rst 6
sts, 2 sc in each of next 4 sts, sc in
each of last 2 sts, turn. (16 sc)
Row 5: Ch 1, sc in each of rst
10 sts, sl st in each of last 6 sts.
Fasten off.
With sl sts of last row at top,
sew one Fin to each side of Body
as shown in photo.
For whiskers, tie three strands of
heavy thread one at a time to rnds
2 and 3 on each side of Head (see
photo).
Using photo as a guide, cut nose
from black felt, glue in place.
Tie ribbon into a bow around
neck.
