It follows that if new evidence has appeared about the potential consequences of the
EURATOM Basic Safety Directive, Under Article 20 (in the original 1996 version
Article 6) all practices involving radiation exposure have to be re-justified. It is a legal
requirement. What is proposed, therefore, is that all individuals resident in or citizens of a
EU member state country, and all NGOs based in such countries, petition the European
Parliament to require a re-justification of all radiation producing practices covered by the
Euratom Basic Safety Standards Directive in any of its forms in the light of the new
scientific evidence of health risks.
This new evidence is appended to the Petition as an Appendix and petitioners may ask for
the evidence to be presented in any scientific discussion by members of the European
Committee on Radiation Risk www.euradcom.org , or the International Committee on

video explains the dangers of nuclear reactors and solar flares. In the 1850's the earth was
struck by a massive solar flare from the sun. Fortunatly, the only power back then was
telegraph lines, which were destroyed. After the catastrophy at Fukushima however, we
learned the hard way, what happens to a nuclear reactor when there is a loss of power. If
the earth was to take another hit as in the 1850's, the damage would be catastrophic to say
the least. without power, every nuclear reactor on the planet would possibly have the
same outcome as Fukushima. Needless to say, that would be the end of humanity, and all
life on the planet. We can only pray that this doesn't happen. Nuclear power is the most
dangerous form of energy ever created, we must abolish this life destroying form of
energy at all costs. With all the talk from NASA, about the possibility of a massive solar
flare hitting the earth, we are running out of time. Time to put an end to nuclear power,

Engineers at J apan's Fukushima plant continue work on emptying highly radioactive
water from one of the nuclear reactors. The latest tests show that radiation levels in the
sea near the damaged facility have spiked. On Tuesday, J apan raised the level of nuclear
alert at the plant to the maximum of seven, putting it on a par with the Chernobyl
disaster. Recovery efforts came under threat as series of powerful aftershocks hit the area
near the power station. It came a month after the massive earthquake and tsunami
devastated the country, leaving over 13 thousand people dead. Monitoring stations

They're now more than 3.5 thousand times higher than normal. Radioactive material has
also been detected in soil at the facility. J apan's government described the situation as
serious and unpredictable. Workers have been unsuccessfully trying to restore the plant's
cooling system, in what is now the worst atomic crisis since Chernobyl. There's been

Following up his 2007 book "Wolves of Water" Chris Busby calls for the development in
Society of legal mechanisms to investigate issues of scientific dishonesty like those in
Denmark. Such issues, he argues, can be seen in the same category as perjury in criminal
court cases for which serious sanctions exist. The essay has been published in Iraq-Silent
Death edited by Christian Scherrer (University Sains Press, Malaysia Oct 2011) and is
also to be found, (together with several examples of possible scientific dishonesty)
presented on the website of the Low Level Radiation Campaign www.llrc.org The matter
is one of democracy and goes to the core of expert evidence on Policy to governments. It
is argued that scientists (like those who talk down the Fukushima catastrophe) or those
like Prof Wade Allison who advise people to move into radioactive areas because doses
of up to 100mSv a month are harmless, should be investigated in a court or law and if
found guilty of knowingly giving bad advice (rather than being stupid or careless) suffer
penalties.

Pr Chris Busby is asked by BSRRW.org secretary Ditta Rietuma to inform the Austrian
radio reporter on the infertility risk in J apan. Additional to at least 400.000 cancers in
next 50 years in the 200 km radium fr Fukushima, estimated using the more reliable

reactor sales. Busbys prediction for Europeans is relaxing regarding Fukushima fallout,

Chris Busby of the University of Liverpool explains precisely how uranium - including
natural, enriched, and depleted uranium - causes health problems. I don't know how
useful it is to someone without a science background, at least introductory molecular
biology, but Busby explains it extremely well in a convincing and frightening
presentation. This information has not thus far been acted on by any regulatory agencies.
The presentation was made in February 2008 as part of the public interventions in the
environmental assessment of AREVA's proposed Midwest uranium mine in northern
Saskatchewan. Busby was asked to present by the Saskatoon-based Inter-Church
Uranium Committee Education Cooperative.

A British professor and expert on the health effects of ionizing radiation told Alex J ones
today evidence points toward a nuclear explosion occurring at the Fukushima Daiichi
complex. Two explosions at the plant in March were described as hydrogen gas
explosions by J apanese officials and the corporate media.
Citing data collected by two Russian scientists, Professor Chris Busby told Alex J ones
and his audience the explosions at Fukushima were nuclear. The Russian scientists,
Sergey A. Pakhomov and Yuri V. Dubasov of the VG Khlopin Radium Institute in Saint
Petersburg, examined data related to the explosion at Chernobyl.
J apanese nuclear safety agency raises crisis level of Fukushima Daiichi power plant
accident from 5 to 7.
Using ratios of the radionuclides Xenon 133 and Xenon 133m which they measured by
gamma spectrometer, the Russians demonstrated that the Chernobyl explosion was a
fission criticality explosion and not principally a hydrogen explosion as has been
claimed.

"I believe that the explosion of the No 3 reactor may have also involved criticality but
this must await the release of data on measurements of the Xenon isotope ratios," he
writes in a statement on Fukushima and Chernobyl emailed to Infowars.com.

Busby further notes that the surface contamination and of dose rates 60 kilometers out
from the Fukushima site on March 17 exceeded that released at Chernobyl.

He explains in his statement that the damaged reactors at Fukushima "are now continuing
to fission. It is hoped that there will be no separation of plutonium and possible nuclear
explosion. I feel that this is unlikely now." Short of an actual plutonium explosion, the
reactors remain open to the air and will continue to "fission and release radionuclides for
years unless something drastic is done."
Dr. Busby noted a precedent for the dire scenario now unfolding -- a nuclear explosion at
a plutonium production reprocessing plant in the former Soviet Union in 1957.

The incident at the Mayak facility was the second-worst nuclear accident in history after
the Chernobyl disaster. The explosion released 50-100 tonnes of high-level radioactive
waste and contaminated a huge territory in the eastern Urals. The Soviets kept the
explosion secret for 30 years. According to a report on the accident, about 400,000
people in the region were irradiated following the explosion and other incidents at the
plant.

Dr. Busby told Alex J ones that short of actual isotope readings, he cannot definitely state
that the explosions at Fukushima were nuclear, although he believes they were. "We don't
have evidence of that," he concluded, "we would need to have the Xenon isotope ratios."

24 Chris Busby: Contamination at Hinkley Point

A short presentation about enriched Uranium contamination at the Hinkley Point nuclear
power station complex on the Somerset coast. This is an update on the arguments about
the presence of higher than expected levels of Uranium on the site which began with a
report by Green Audit at the end of 2010. The site is being developed by French company
EdF energy for a new nuclear reactor. Dr Busby visited the site in J anuary 2011with Rosa
Cato and measured higher gamma radiation dose rates than were reported to the
Environment Agency in the site characterisation documents. Gamma dose rates were
above 150nGy/h compared with measurements of 90nGy/h reported in the scientific
literature at the perimeter fence in 1993 and less than 60nGy/h reported by EdF in the
documents examined by the Environment Agency. These reported gamma radiation
levels were clearly wrong and this should have been questioned. The high gamma dose
rates measured by Chris Busby are predictable on the basis of the levels of Uranium
reported for the site by EdF. In addition, a soil sample taken by Stop Hinkley from the
site has been analysed using ICPMS in Germany and high resolution gamma
spectrometry and both methods independently confirm the presence of slightly enriched
Uranium. Overall Uranium concentrations are twice to four times greater than would be
expected for the area on the basis of published Uranium maps. This supports the original
2011 report by Green Audit. Measurement of anomalous levels of Iodine in the soil
sample by ICPMS show that contamination is transferred from the sea which opens up
the issue of the high levels of cancer and infant mortality found by Green Audit in the
downwind coastal town of Burnham on Sea. The new Green Audit report on this issue is

25 Chris Busby- Einstein, Politics and Reality
In this 3rd Marius lecture, Prof Busby addresses the dangers of allowing physics and
physicists to influence political decisions through scientific advice to government. He
explains that the process of surrendering philosophical descriptions of the Universe to the
physicists began with the dislocation caused in Natural Philosophy through the
acceptance of Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity in the early 20th Century. The
constraints placed on the dimensions of reality which this produced enabled physicists to
achieve a unique position as a class of individuals who could maintain anything, however
impossible, on the basis of mathematical reductionism, and no-one could argue about this
without being attacked for being stupid: a classical Emperor's New Clothes situation.
Busby presents two Proofs which show Einstein's Postulates to be incorrect and he
thereby re-instates the luminiferous aether of Maxwell/Lorentz, which was anyway
shown to exist through the precise interferometer experiments of Miller in the 1920s. But
most important is the danger which is implicit in all this. Busby warns that Relativity is a
political issue and that almost all scientific advisors to government are physicists who
have steered policy in the last 50 years towards several science assisted collisions with
reality, and the deaths of millions of people.The time has come to topple them from the
pedestal erected by Einstein and to take back control of policy decisions.

29 Chris Busby at the United Nations Geneva: US Marshall Islands Atomic tests
The US carried out their main Atmospheric Megaton Hydrogen (thermonuclear) Bomb
Tests in the Pacific Test grounds centred on the Marshall Islands between 1950 and 1958
after the discovery that their atomic tests in the Nevada desert and in New Mexico were
causing fallout contamination as far away as New York. The largest hydrogen bomb
destroyed Bikini atoll. Fallout in the Marshall Islands resulted in serious health effects
which have been systematically either ignored or covered up. The question of the
magnitude of these effects has come to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva and a
Special Rapporteur was charged with investigating the issue and producing a report for
the September meeting of the UNHRC in Geneva. The US Health Physics Society had
previously produced a biased and dishonest report arguing that fallout was too low and
doses too low to have caused any effects. This video is of the first half of the UNHRC
meeting in Geneva on September 13th 2012 organised by the American Association of
Anthropologists. The meeting Chair is Prof Barbara Rose J ohnston and presentations
were made by Prof Holly Barker and Prof Chris Busby. Delegates from the Marshall

Dr Busby's main recommendations were adopted by the Special Rapporteur to the

It is currently European Law that exposure to radioactivity in the environment is
permitted and controlled by the EURATOM Basic Safety Standards Directive or BSS.
This has a clause in it which states that "if new and important information about the
efficacy of the provisions of the BSS emerge, all radiation exposure practices have to be
re-examined (justified). Since the BSS was drafted in 1996 there has been a very large
number of studies showing that the scientific basis of the BSS is totally unsafe, and many
studies of populations show that millions have died and will die because of this.
All inhabitants of European Union countries have the right under the EU law to petition
the European Parliament. As a first strategy Dr Busby is asking everyone to download a
Petition document from the website of www.nuclearjustice.org, to sign it and post it in
August, registered or signed for, to the Petitions Committee of the European Parliament,
Rue Wiertz, Brussels, Belgium. All details are on the website and also a German, French

The future of nuclear energy depends on the industry finding somewhere to put the high
level waste. This is radioactive for millions of years and must be isolated from the
environment. The hitherto intractable problem was apparently solved by the Swedish
nuclear industry who proposed a plan to encapsulate it in copper canisters and bury it in
tunnels 500m underneath the Baltic sea at Forsmark. The full environmental impact
report was released last year; the government requirements are that the company SKB
show that the waste will not emerge from the canisters between 100,000 years and 1
million years. After studying the report in detail it became clear that the design was
flawed because it did not include consideration of the Helium gas produced from the
alpha emitters. The volume of gas in each canister would cause it to explode long before
100,000 years resulting in the contamination of the Baltic Sea by the equivalent of 2000

Chris Busby lays into the UK charity Children with Cancer, the largest childhood cancer
charity in the UK, which he explains is standing in the way of finding the real causes of
childhood cancer. He advises people to stop donating their money to an organisation that
wastes it and which avoids looking at what is the obvious cause of childhood cancer,
environmental exposure to radioactive contamination. This is clear from the recent
studies of uranium particle exposure in Fallujah Iraq and a 14-fold increase in childhood
cancer in that town. Nuclear sites, he argues, also run on uranium and release particulates,
and are associated with childhood cancer. He accuses the conference committee of bias
and draws attention to the astonishing choice of ex- nuclear industry British Nuclear
Fuels (Sellafield) research chief, Richard Wakeford, (a man who has described himself as
BNFLs Rottweiler) as the CWC plenary conference speaker on the relationship between

46 Chris Busby, Nuclear Power and Cancer in North Wales near Wylfa Part 2
Welsh Language ITV flagship programme Byd ar Bedwar (20/12/2011) investigates
breast cancer increases downwind of the Wylfa Nuclear Power Station on Anglesey. Dr
Chris Busby was commissioned by the programme to investigate cancer death rates in the
11 wards surrounding the plant. He found a significant 60% excess risk in women dying
between 1999 and 2008 in the downwind wards compared with the distant wards. There
was also two-fold excess lung cancer risk in men in Amlwch Port downwind of the plant.
Busby had previously studied cancer near three other nuclear power stations, Hinkley
Point in Somerset, Bradwell in Essex and Trawsfynydd in Wales. All three have
statistically significant excess risk of breast cancer in those living near the contaminated
areas. The Bradwell breast cancers were associated with living near the contaminated
coastal sediment of the R Blackwater estuary. A joint CERRIE commissioned study
between Busby, the nuclear industry (Richard Wakeford) and NRPB was shut down in
2004 by the committee chairman when it became apparent that Busby's figures were
correct and those of the government's Small Area Health Statistics Unit incorrect. Latest
figures for Burnham-on-Sea, downwind of the Hinkley Point plant show a continued
excess breast cancer mortality, supporting the many earlier studies carried out by Busby's
Green Audit. The Hinkley site is contaminated with enriched uranium. (See

Report.) Data supplied by the official Public Health Wales obtained under a Freedom of
Information request by ITV show a significant child leukemia excess in the downwind

government's COMARE committee who advise on radiation risk.

Prof Chris Busby was invited to Stockholm on Nov 19th 2011 to present the results of the
studies he made with his colleagues into the health effects in and contamination of
Fallujah Iraq. He begins by showing a video of a small modern ground based missile that
is capable of atomising a tank, and asks what kind of explosive warhead could have such
power? The studies, carried out with Malak Hamdan , Samira Alaani, Eleonore Blaurock
Busch and others showed unbelieveable levels of cancer and congenital malformation
which appeared after the 2004 US led attack of the city. Leukemia and other cancer
increases were greater than those produced by Hiroshima. For the first time, Busby

study. The cause of these effects was found by analysing the hair of the parents of the
children with congenital malformations. It was Enriched Uranium which, Busby argues,
must be some component of a new type of weapon. He believes that this discovery is

film-maker Edgar Hagen about a proposed movie about nuclear waste, Chris makes the
point that there is more behind the nuclear energy arguments than is immediately
apparent. He peels back the layers one by one, and concludes that the nuclear issue
represents a fundamental historical split in human nature, one that perhaps defines the
present world but is an alarming error in its reductionism presented as objectivity. He
concludes that blind belief in such reductionist science will lead inevitably to a science
assisted collision with reality. This, as we now know, followed after this interview was
made, at Fukushima.

massively underestimated. Uranium is still contaminating the world following its use as a

If the generally lower levels of radioactivity in the sediments of the Irish sea have caused

radio reporter on the infertility risk in J apan. Additional to at least 400.000 cancers in

Chris Busby introduces a new J apanese language book published today in which he
presents the truth about the health effects of the Fukushima Catastrophe to the J apanese
