I. INTRODUCTION: Professional achievement is encouraged, cultivated and celebrated. This Individual Professional Development Plan (IPDP) enables each employee to analyze individual development needs, set specific annual goals and target opportunities to meet these identified goals. This achievement of our professional goals will, ultimately, benefit your students, school and our learning organization. These goals must focus on increasing your capacity to assist schools in achieving LHA Network Goals and their individual school goals.
II. PROFESSIONAL PROFILE (SELF-ASSESSMENT) A. List your strengths and interests in education specific to the essential functions of your role as delineated in your position description. B. I have a good ability to communicate with parents and other staff members in order to maximize students learning. I also have a good ability to implement lesson plans.

Some areas I would like to see growth in is procedures development for every day classroom movement and specific plans for activities within the classroom setting, long term planning and assessment, and students engagement and motivation.
III. GOALS Each employee will develop three professional goals, which they will actively work on throughout the year. Goals will be measurable, in writing and have duration of one year (with the potential of two years depending on the goal). These goals will be developed in cooperation with your supervisor. It is critical that these goals are measurable with quantitative data (i.e., survey results, assessment data) and qualitative data (i.e., observations, correspondence with colleagues, etc.). These goals should be focused on developing your own personal capacity. An example of a goal would be to develop my capacity to conduct critical conversations.

Develop more precise and effective procedures for everyday classroom movement and more specifically for activities within the classroom setting.
MEASURES: Professional development possibly in KAGEN Meeting and conferencing with my mentor and DOI Talking with fellow teachers

Develop skills to aid in long term lesson planning and assessment of achievement of goals.
MEASURES: Meeting and conferencing with my mentor and DOI Talking with fellow teachers Professional development if needed Researching new ways to organize and plan instruction and create assessments Build a large tool box of ideas for activities and projects that have plug and play content.
EVIDENCE TOWARD MEETING THE GOAL: Long term lesson plans will be smoother, assessments will evaluate specific goals that are in the new common core curriculum, and students achievement will be valued data for a data driven classroom
PROFESSIONAL GOAL #3
Develop my skills in student engagement and intrinsic motivation. Gain a large tool box of ideas and theories to aid in student engagement.
MEASURES: Professional development in student engagement and intrinsic motivation Speaking with other teachers about engagement and intrinsic motivation Develop a large tool box of ideas and theories that will aid in creating student engagement and intrinsic motivation
EVIDENCE TOWARD MEETING THE GOAL: Student behavior issues will decrease as student engagement increases, as student intrinsic motivation increases student engagement will increase, students achievement will increase, instructional time will be more effective
IV. DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES A. Professional Development Activities: How will you build your capacity to meet the goals above? Please list the specific people, activities, and/or programs necessary to help you meet your goals. **This section may be filled out with your supervisor as you discuss the options available to you that will best help you to meet your goals. B. Some professional development that I would like to attend is: more Kagen, more responsive classroom, any that deals specifically on students engagement and intrinsic motivation. People who will be a valuable resource to me are my DOI, mentor, fellow teachers, 6-7 pod teachers along with the title 1 instructors. I will also be doing some reading suggested by these valuable people over the topics that I need to grow in.

Adopted October 14, 2008 I do not know how much Kagen or responsive classroom PD costs, but I feel I would greatly benefit from the trainings along with training in students engagement and intrinsic motavations.
