PART 3 - E5ECUTION
3.1 INSPECTION
A. $<amine conditions under w!ic! miscellaneous control equipment are to )e installed. 0otify Arc!itect
in writing of conditions detrimental to proper completion of t!e wor. Do not proceed wit! t!e wor until
unsatisfactory conditions !ave )een corrected
3.2 INSTALLATION
A. /nstall miscellaneous control equipment and accessories as indicated in accordance wit!
manufacturer5s written instructions, requirements of applica)le &tandards in accordance wit!
recogni6ed industry practices to ensure t!at installation complies wit! requirements and serves
intended function.
". Coordinate as necessary to interface installation of miscellaneous control equipment wor wit! ot!er
wor.
C. #rotect miscellaneous control equipment systems from dirt, moisture and construction de)ris
su)sequent to and during installation until pro?ect is accepted )y *wner.
D. @ig!ten connectors and terminals, including screws and )olts, in accordance wit! equipment
manufacturer5s pu)lis!ed torque tig!tening values for equipment connectors.
$. +ount all equipment in ca)inets suita)le for installation wit! all necessary )us )ars and terminal strips.
&eparate low and !ig! voltage sections wit! )arriers.
-. #rovide all wiring, conduit and accessories including )ut not limited to terminal strips, rectifiers,
switc!es, and fuses for systems to perform intended function.
G. #rovide emergency s!ut-down facilities at mec!anical equipment locations and ot!er locations
indicated on drawings and as required.
3.3 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL
A. #rior to energi6ation of installed miscellaneous control equipment, test for electrical continuity of
circuitry and for possi)le s!ort circuits.
". $lectrically energi6e miscellaneous control equipment systems and demonstrate functioning in
accordance wit! requirements. %!ere necessary, correct malfunctioning units, and t!en retest to
demonstrate compliance. 9eplace equipment w!ic! cannot )e satisfactorily corrected.
