1. Scope
The specification cover supply, erection, testing and commissioning of a complete
comprehensive Industrial gases pipelines i.e. (i !xygen gas pipelines ii "!

".# Description of $or%s
#.1 The gas pipeline -ould generally run overhead position throughout inside shops
at the height stipulated normally along the structure . column and shall /e
clamped on support /rac,et to /e fixed on the column./eam girder etc. !utside
shop, the pipe line shall /e clamped on /rac,et carried on support, structure
-ithout infringing any e0uipment.structure suita/le for -ind and other loads. The
support structure should /e fa/ricated from standard steel section conforming to
I)1##2 latest version.
#.# 3ain lines for all three gas pipelines shall /e of 3) seamless pipes of 44 mm 5'
-ith 6.# mm -all thic,ness conforming to I)11#67 (Pt8I8#444 and of reputed
ma,e.
All pipelines shall /e connected at the corners /y suita/le el/o- 9oints and pipe
/ends and sufficient expansion loop and /ends shall also /e provided.
#.6 %rop lines for all three gas pipelines shall /e of 3) seamless pipes of #2 mm 5'
-ith 6.# mm -all thic,ness confirming to I)1 1#67(Pt8I #444 and of reputed
ma,e and terminated at a height of 1.2 3 from the floor level and clamped rigidly
using re0uired fittings.
#.4 The -elding . /ra:ing for 9oining pipelines shall /e done as per relevant I)
standards.
#.2 The standard pressure gauges shall /e provided at /eginning and end of each main
lines for all three gases -hich should /e fitted at height from floor level for easy
visi/ility of readings.
#.; The system shall /e fitted -ith all safeguard and safety feature stipulated /y
statutory /oard and other regulations enforce from time to time such as Indian
explosive acts and Indian factory act etc and shall /e executed as per relevant
Indian standards.
#.< All the pipelines shall /e cleaned -ith nitrogen gas.suita/le other gases for lea,
testing of pipelines.
#.= Painting All pipes shall /e de8greased, cleaned inside and outside including
-elded portion and painted as per the specification I)1#6<7 latest version.
#.7 There shall /e total 74 5os do-n ta,e points, 24 in carriage repair shop, #4 each in
heavy repair shop $ light repair shop.

6. Tenderers satisfaction a&out re'uire(ent .
6.1 The tenderers shall /e satisfied himself a/out the re0uirement through study
of the site condition, the layout dra-ings and other relevant dra-ings
availa/le in Aor,shop Pro9ects !ffice.
6.# The tender is advised to visit carriage -or,shop li,e Tirupati, Peram/ur, in his
o-n interest for detailed understanding of application and re0uirement of
@ases pipelines system.
4. The successful tenderer shall ha)e to suppl* the (aterial as (entioned in
the schedule of +or%.
Any item left in the schedule of material and found essential in the opinion of
tenderers for successful installation and commissioning of Industrial gases
pipelines may also offered separately.
,. Pressure testin-
The -or,ing pressure for the pipelines vis I !xygen gas pipelines gas =
,g.cm# ii "!# gas pipelines 4 ,g.cm# and %A gas pipelines 4.;2
,g.cm#. All the gas pipeline should /e tested for lea,age and pressure drop at
least t-o times the -or,ing pressure. )oap solution or other suita/le shall /e
applied all -elded 9oints, flange fittings.valves etc to find out any lea,.
Burther each pipelines -ill /e charged -ith the respective gas and -ill /e ,ept
in the system for #4 hours to find out any pressure drop.The contractor should
ma,e on his arrangement for re0uisite e0uipment.gadget to conduct the
testing. The -hole system along -ith installation should /e certified /y the
contractor for the satisfactory -or,ing to the rail-ay.

1. Scope
The specification cover supply, erection, testing and commissioning of
compressed ait pipeline complete -ith valves, filter cum moisture separators,
flanges, flo- meter and other misc. fittings in the shops of *arnaut rail
&ar,hana on TD(5 &CE 'A)I).
# O&/ecti)e
The o/9ective is to set up a complete system that -ill /e capa/le to supply
the compressed air pressure upto 14 &g.cm# to various consuming points to
cater the essential load -ithin the relevant shops of Aor,shop.

Description of the s*ste(
The system shall /e provided -ith all necessary piping, fittings, isolating and
stop valves, filter cum moisture separators, loops fitted -ith condensator,
do-n ta,e pipes, extensions, connections and misc fittings. The air pipeline
shall generally run over the head position throughout inside shop at height
stipulated normally along the structure.column and shall /e clamped on
support /rac,et to /e fixed on the column./eam girder etc. !utside shop, the
pipelines shall /e clamped on /rac,ets carried on support structures -ithout
infringing any e0uipment.structure suita/le for -ind and other load as per
I) 1 =<2. The support structure should /e fa/ricated from standard steel
section conforming to I) ##; latest version.
The do-n ta,e shall /e ta,en from the main distri/ution pipeline through a
return u8/end mounted up-ard. The do-n ta,e connections shall /e running
vertically along the structure and terminated -ith female scre- ends in
sufficient nos. to meet the re0uirement.
The system shall /e fitted -ith all safety guard and safety features stipulated
/y statutory /oard and other regulatory system in force from time to time and
executed as per relevant Indian.International standards.
The -or, is to /e carried out on turn,ey /asis -here in complete
responsi/ilities rest -ith contractors for complete design, supply, erection,
testing and of all material and e0uipment for the system and proving of
performance to the complete satisfaction of (ail-ays.

If the contractor feels that information furnished is any -ay in ade0uate to meet
the re0uirement specified, he shall /ring out the area of such deficiency -ith
complete -or,ing sheet
The successful tenderer shall have to supply the material as per the schedule of
-or,. Any item left in the schedule of material and found essential in the opinion
of tenderers for successful installation and commissioning of compressed air
pipeline may also 0uote separately.
